Escargot is like a staple of fancy French dinner party foods, isn't it?

Yes, but they aren't the size of small bananas. I have eaten escargot, and the small size, butter, and garlic help a lot. Cutting one of the local variety up guts and all so I could get it into my mouth is not my cuppa. I prefer small oysters too. Well fried.

Not to mention escargot is snails NOT GIANT SLUGS!

Unless it’s American
so many variations depending on where your at, Hungarian goulash reminds me more of a stew like dish

They are wonderful. Good ones are heavenly, low quality in unskilled hands is foul refuse unfit for rats.

As an avid rat keeper, I can tell you they'd be thrilled!

Watching your 7yo do her rendition of Bette Midler's "Let Me Entertain You" from Gypsy is hilarious and adorable and slightly terrifying all at once. Apparently its the current number she's been working on for her musical theater class.
