We grew up with our groundbeef/macaroni/tomato/and sometimes corn(maize) hotdishes that we called goulash. I didn't care for the corn in it, as a kid, but it's okay, now. Oh, yah, onions!
Grew up in Michigan. That delight of hamburger, , onion, tomato, elbow macaroni was called goulash. Out East, it’s American Chop Suey…..pure comfort food!!

I’m gonna have to just stay for awhile to cook all these delicious foods you’ve never tried. We’ve got to take you beyond mushy peas :rofl: plus while I’m there I’ll teach you how to cook that tomahawk steak properly:thumbsup::rofl::eyebrows:

Ah........... :chef: ....I don't know if I had a deprived foodhood....maybe @blue will have had them....but our NE UK food base was Chinese...Indian....Turkish.....no meatloaf either.......:biggrin:
