Sounds like whatever you were using was selecting what to remove based on color vs a free-form masking. Was there a reason they couldn't keep the white around them? It may not look great but from a readability standpoint it may be better. I suppose if nothing else if it super duper bothers anyone they can just use light theme since they look fine that way.Yes that is exactly the problem. All of the old and loved emoji had a near white background, all of the software I could find to make them transparent left jaggies and transparent eyeballs etc. some of them I went frame by frame, others it did not matter how I edited them they still had problems. They look great against light backgrounds but not against black or very dark grey.
So Hobbes don't call it a Dark Theme and make it grey
The yellow arrow is where you are just try the red arrow color and see if it is still pleasant in dim night light. Just in the text area.

I couldn't See what that was yesterday...and now I can Read it.....
On a Laptop they were like pimples.....but on a Tablet they were quite Big.....
