Just remember the additional nitrogen you are adding every time you water with calmag. I use alternate organic ways to add calcium and magnesium when needed.

there's not enough N to matter in calmag. 2% of 60 ppms is 1.2 ppm. most calmag brands have 2% or less

I have everything to learn if i go that route. Does coco work with a wicking pot, or do I need some fancy system?

I never had any luck with bottom feeding coco with autopots. Always an issue once they hit flower. You can build a automated watering setup for under $100. But you can get away with hand watering once a day or less in 5 gallon pots

Yes coco will work with bottom feeding but a weekly flush would be recommended by some people to flush excess salts away.. Once the coco dry's out it leaves a salt line which is bad for the plants
