Right? Wages at jobs have seriously gotten messed up lately. Some are paying more because they know the current climate. Other's used to have good wages and still haven't gotten with the times. So now you see a former good job that wants all these qualifications and standards yet pays trash.
Why would someone want to get a degree and or have a bunch of experience and responsibility to get paid 15 bucks an hour when you can easily get a job putting cans of soup on a shelf for $18?
@Suki813 Just a couple of suggestions/ideas...
Look into eye hooks and ratchet straps to hang your light from the ceiling. just make sure they hit a joist. Only 2 smallish holes depending on your light. Easy fix when done!
Weather stripping is cheap and would work around the door. Comes in all kinds of sizes. They make draft blockers for the bottom of doors that should work pretty good for the bottom to block light.
You can paint over some wall paper, but it will be a royal pain to remove later. So not advisable!!!
