U ever made it before and used? That shit will plummet your reservoir ph if u use activated em1! I had to stop putting into EB reservoir cuz after about an hour in the water it’ll drop that shit to under 4.0 ph!
I haven't had a problem with it, Remember that 9ft tall Asian Haze last summer? Once a week and she was drinking two gallons every 36-38hrs like clockwork at her top production.
I'm pretty sure your problem was nutes getting washed into the rez and letting it sit too long,
Sure, the EM1 will lower the pH of the water your adding, but a maintenance application of one oz per gallon won't change the pH of the water by that much.
Now where it WILL change the pH of the
water is if nutes/microbe food get washed into the rez. Just like in the fermentation process, as the microbes eat, the acidify the water and brings down the pH. It can be quite drastic and occur quite quickly. If I remember correctly, yours flipped pretty quickly, as quick as you can be without smelling the fill tube 5 times daily.
This is why I'm so adamant about keeping nutes out of the rez and limiting the amount of water I add to the rez based on how much she's using and only adding enough to be used up withib 72 hours......one gal minimum on Regular EBs and 1/2 gal on the Jr. gal. The 72 hrs is just mainly the first two or three waterings. When the usage goes up to being gone in 24hrs, I up it to two gal at a time.
