It's apera....don't know why I keep adding the i...probe never dried out ( though apera FAQ's say if it does no problem, just soak in 4.0 for 24 hours) and ordered storage solution from them but told it was out of stock and I could use 4.0 solution instead of the 3.0 storage solution..
Dunno if it makes a difference, but I stored mine from the beginning in 3 molar KCL that I mixed up myself. It eventually grows shit in it unlike the official stuff that seems to have preservative in it, but I just change it when it starts to get grotty. I think the 4.0 calibration stuff is better than nothing, or worse yet, distilled water, but proper KCL solution is the best plan if you can't get the official stuff. I mix my own because I am a cheap old bugger - the price they charge for that storage solution is beyond predatory.

Good luck with it. Apera is a good unit, you should definitely get more than a year out of it, including the probe. :goodluck: :pighug:
