Light to close or not spider farmer take a look ther autos Mephisto

So less that 3 feet by 3 feet
Less than 3x3 feet area I'm guessing 8 square feet maybe a little less is 46 dli to high ....is 39,000 lux to high? Again my ppfd is 731 is that to high? ....I'm using 100% max output on the spider farmer for full 450 watts

8 square feet is just short of 3x3 (about half the area the light is meant for) so you have a lot of light yes but the first set of pictures showed happy plants the second tired plants (looks like they got their dose (DLI)) I only saw the first set when I responded but there is no light burn so if you feel like giving them less light you could;
1. shorten the day (saves electricity)
2. get the lamp higher
3. does the light have a dimmer? Put it on 80%
or you could keep going. I don't think you are doing anything wrong the only issue might be the light fixture in that space is producing lots of heat.

Running 82 DLI on this beast. 1000ppfd 24/0 just because of heat constraints with my basement. It ends up being easier to run this way than with a heater and timer etc. and arguably cheaper and less risky. Of course I could raise the light to lessen the intensity but it’s all a learning process :jointman:

These girls were born at the edges of the tent 42” from a 4x4 630w led at 100% power. Starting ppfd was around 600-650 and I’ll let em just grow to the light. The older girls are now about 24” away and about 950 ppfd. I’m also new and not sure if I’ll ever know that I’m doing it “correctly“ but they seem happy. My goal is to see if different stages of growth can get along in one tent. Im leaning towards convenience more so than anything else so I’m willing to see what I can put em through.
