New Grower Let's talk Scrog

Its all in what's the best way to fill in space.
. What he said....to use the space to the best.know how your strain will grow and that will help decide plant count..what it the footprint and light you'll be using..etc..

Hey,throwing this question out to anyone watching this thread or who has info on autos being scrogged...now there is a technique on grow weed easy website that shows a correct scrog as being topped ,anybody have any ideas???

Here's what grow weed easy says is a scrog

And this lower picture says what a scrog is not!! In order to do this properly according to that site topping would need to be done,,anybody have any thoughts on this/has anybody ever used the method in the upper photo??

Well I have more experience with photo scrogs but for me it depends on genetics. Do they like to grow popcorn buds or colas. One cola or branchy? Do they get stressed by clipping leaves? These are ??? I ask my self when making decisions.

I get what ur saying ,I just threw that out there because I see a lot of "scrogs" done on our site that are like the lower pic,and the tutorial does say that this technique is not meant for autos, but I don't know when it was written..I guess point being is if it's not done like the upper picture is it a scrog??? And has anyone done it like the upper pic

Makes sense and i see some people use that method as well...peace

Hey guys anybody still watching this thread? I have my plan in action and just wanted to share ..the pic under the MH light with the posts in place shows one plant that was topped by the dog,it has four branches/shoots and will soon be tall enough to start weaving it thru the net,,I'll be able to compare a natural grown plant to a topped plant Scrog ( thanks little dog)..he was trying to finish the job when I was taking this pic ...I made these nets 18"x18" but they could be made any size and still be "portable"..peace guys

Thanks @Sourdough ,that's a blue dream that was circular trained around the rim of the pot, that is a side branch cola that took the cola dominant spot, the original center cola is buried at the bottom,,I had a lot going on and that plant didn't finish her training so I bent her to maintain height, then she got to heavy, now I'm holding it up on a stick ...
