THURS (gobble gobble) - In the morning seeds had cracked minus a few so I placed them into my moist blue shop rags and hung vertical in Ziploc bags.

Day 22

You got drippers on the 4 sides?

The 8 on the left 2 rows are Lemon Z. Out of nine seeds that went swimming 8 of them germed, eight of them popped up, the ninth one …the little curly had damping of the stem trying to emerge out with a hard shell…..RIP……
Taproots have hit bottom of the cup on some already and I bottom fed today straight distilled water.
Waiting on one last seed to pop up for the sisters growing alongside…… I had 2 that were slow to start, but one popped up today.
Clear plastic cup domes have been removed from sprouts and red solo cup reservoir cups have been provided for the clear cups to go into…….
WOOOOOOOOOOOF!!!!

What do mean reservoir? Do you keep nutes in the red cup? Would that not encourage roots to grow thru the cups? Pardon my ignorance, im just curious as you abviously know what youre doing, im just curious why the two cups? Thank you in advance.

I have not started nutrients yet, but when I do, I will water as usual. Any excess will go in to the red solo cup which they then can Wick from I have had no problems with the roots growing through the holes at the bottom of the clear cups that I make with a soldering iron. ( in case peeps want to know easy way to get holes…. And the same 2 cup system is how I do my solo cup grows.)….. see PIC where I used small plastic coffee containers for reservoirs, plus they make good little stands as you can put rocks in the bottom of them to help weigh them down so they don’t blow over…. having these for seedlings and for solo cup grow offs are perfect as you don’t have to water so often as they can just wick up the excess.
There will be more pictures to follow and you can see, and if any roots do grow through those holes I am not worried about it. No probs in the past as when I transplant the roots come clean out..
