Hey all,

Currently have a seedling under a 300w mars hydro, with 5w chips and I'm starting to notice the node spacing is super tight between each new set of leaves, it's only up to it's 3rd set but the new growth seems to be getting blocked by the previous leaves.

I currently have the light about 30-40cm away, is this to close ?

Would I be better of starting my seedlings under my 130w dual spectrum and then move under my led later in her growth cycle?

Also I a few weird questions,

how do u test the ph run off from your soil if you only give small amounts of water when a seedling?

And if it's correct that it's bad to transplant autos, how do you avoid burning your seedling if you plant directly into the final pot full of nutes in the soil... ?

Complete newby to the tricks of the trade, hope you guys can help out

And when I say up the top about new growth being blocked by previous leaves I mean like there is no room for the new growth, it sort of looks like it's stunting from trying to push through the last set of leaves...

Your light is to close causing the close internodes so move it up to around 26 to 30 inches. As long as you have the correct PH \of your in going water I wouldn't worry about the runoff PH.There shouldn't be any nutes in the soil when you put your seed in.

Yup, too much light for seedling, 2-3 feet is about right if you are using around 30w/ft2 of led, let the plant grow to the light instead of moving the light to the plant. Once flower kicks in, then move it closer.
