Just a quick tent shot from lunch today. Kind soil girls are the far left ones. Getting close to chop if you go by grow time but I won't chop until trichs and leaves tell me it's ok.

Quick thought regarding the common question of "how much Kindsoil do I use with my autoflower?"

I'm starting to wonder if this might end up being very strain dependent. What I mean by this is that I've got three different strains going right now that are showing VERY different growth chararacteristics. My Automazar is at day 33 and still not moved into flower. From looking around at other journals and asking around a bit I'm not sure that's not normal and it's just a reallly looooong growing strain for an auto. Meanwhile, the Devil Cream is the same age and is full on blooming away and pretty much stopped veg growth. So I've got one plant that I'm wondering if the 2 1/2 lbs used will be enough depending on just how long she ends up going, while another of my plants might have been able to get by with a little less.

I dunno...just something to think about maybe. *shrugg*

Ozone69, dont they say how long a flower cycle the soil is good for? I forgot what is posted on their website. The maxar is supposed to go long but will reward you well.

2.5 pounds should give you about 2 months of veg and full flower according to their site...I think you'll be ok

Yes, they do have the guide in their main page graphic:

Right now, though, it and some of the other threads/posts around here are saying the you won't need more than 1-1.5lb for an autoflower. The other number I had been hearing was two pounds. I'm just thinking that maybe the 1.5-2lb will be a good suggested starting point, but for some autoflower strains it'll be more than needed and for some may not be enough (by just a smidge, maybe). Just thinking there's merit to the idea that folks may want to research some to get an idea of how long a strain goes when deciding how much to use when trying a new strain for the first time with the soil. I think I'd even heard the term "superautos" tossed around the forums once or twice for some particularly long (100+ day) strains. So maybe something like 1-1.5 for "regular auto" and 2-2.5 for "super auto". Just food for thought. :smoking:
