I also feel the bottom of the pot and the inch of cloth at the bottom. On the top I put my finger in to the soil up to my second knuckle as well. I also wait until my lights have been on for about an hour after darkness to observe how perky my fan leaves are.

Day 29 for dudeski and the dudettes! The girls have gotten their groove on and showing their love for the kindsoil. Allison isnt mad anymore so she decided to jump on to 21 inches tall. Francine still stacking her stuff all tight. 11 inches and nice secondary sites. They are drinking 3 cups(allison) and 2 cups(francine) of the mixed water daily.

So I have 5lbs of this stuff and some coco loco coming. Going to use a Maxx yield air pot, its pretty much a cheaper version of the superroots air pot (so im told). I am going to do a run of cherry tomatoes and some peppers and see how it goes. This way I can do a test run on how everything works. Going to use my tap water that is 200ish ppm with a 7ph.

I think the chlorine is the biggest problem with tap water and the kindsoil. I let mine sit out and bubble at least 24 hours. Mix 50/50 with distilled. Its great soil!

Yea, when the real deal comes I will go back to carbon filtered water. I kind of want to give it a sub par environment to put it thru the paces... I do my outside vegges with tap water so I will have a good apples vs apples.....

Here's my girls at day 15...I think they hit the good stuff as they really took off since last update.
Was a busy weekend so I haven't updated for a while - birthdays, graduations, and for some reason I decided to run the Tough Mudder yesterday - boy am I paying for that today lol. Girls are doing really good though. I think this is gonna be a good grow.
