Indoor kfigerm tries his best

day 20 BF runtz, strawberry cheesecake and watermelon skittles
  • Hope you all had some nice easter days.
todays pictures show some progress since last pic. had to rearrange them, now the runts is in the back, scc right and ws left.
Both just topped before the shot was taken.
Again very dense plants and little distance between the branches.
    But nothing to worry about.
I will continue to do nothing but feed like before, but now a little stronger at ec 1200 -1300.

    Have a nice week,

    cheers!

day 26 BF runtz, strawberry cheesecake and watermelon skittles
  • So I don't know what to post...but I think the boredom will have a little pause.
Well, working on them is still boring.
They showed sex some days ago and i switched feed to

    NPK 8-6-12
4-5-5-4 or alternate mix for bigger res 14-8-5-8 - which makes me more comfortasble regarding the balanced use of the different nute parts

    at EC 1300, PH 5.9

but I will have to raise it to 1600 on the big girls. The small is very happy with EC 1300.
Feeding twice a day those big ladies, the small one just daily

The runtz as a new "standard" seems to have been a god choice, cos they are most like I expect a "normal" grow.
She is at 30cm today and I would call her normal.

    But look:
    2023-04-17-173641_004.jpeg

you see the runtz?...shes in the back...here you see her better - right plant at this angle
    2023-04-17-173641_002.jpeg

the ssc and ws were already spread out a bit and plucked some leaves to get more light into them. They now stand both at 40+ cm - and the stretch is still to come.
Ultimate was higher, but the fanleaves of these both have outgrown the big one of the ultimate.
So IF i have everything dialed in as I expect now I will have some hard work on them.
The structure looks much better this time on all and I think this will be a nice stacked box.

watching them is not boring at all...with all that expectations and promises. Now I am again in the stage to not mess up anything. That's uneasy.

Keep your fingers crossed for me and my stoner brain and fingers

    Cheers!

    happy 420
  • a lot of off-schedule this week. Happy 420 everybodey!
I dressed the ladies up...well actually i stripped them a little..less leaves, more light down now.
the small one was also hit with a 1800 EC flush today. Fed her while i took some pics and so it happened that the first spillover to drain happened - I heard it dripping down, so they consume what goes in, no runoff except (accidentally) today.
now the watermelon skittles takes the lead with 55cm then the strawberry cheesecake at 52 and the runtz at approx 45cm.

day 33 BF runtz, strawberry cheesecake and watermelon skittles
  • So it's monday and a hard days sundown is coming :pass:
so now comes the lush part
There is not much talk. after the runtz showed some defs too I ramped up EC to 2.0 on all. Feeding twice a day.
Still same feed schedule, hope stretch is through soon.
The runtz is a good new reference, she grows as expected..the others outperform my expectations.

day 40 BF runtz, strawberry cheesecake and watermelon skittles
  • Hi guys and gals,

I was away for some (4) days, but I know for just some days the pyramids take good care and my autofeeding works, as long as I don't mess it up.
...y'all know what they say, "autoflowers grow small, are hard to grow" and all that sh....shallow waters they wade in.

No magic was done on them and you know I like it boring with just nutes and no fuzzing around, they just grow..... and I am in a "mess" now.
If I knew they would grow like this over the last days I would have hit them harder to somehow stunt them.Though I had some clues in the fanleaves, which outgrew the Ultimates fanleaves.
And they are advertised to grow up to 1.4m...well.. If I wouldn't know better i would think they stretched for light, but they are hit with the FC-3000s' full blast (100%) for some weeks now.

Before I left I set up all with in with 14-5-15-7 (NPK8-11-16) at EC 1800. I couldn't adjust PH so I guess it was somewhere around 6.5-7..just took a probe and it was 7.0.

The next days I will have busy times getting the "mess" proper again . I think there will be some supercropping and bending. But where to, which direction? the box is fully stacked.

Happy may day...or should I cry out loude "MAYDAY MAYDAY!!!!"

    Ready forthe show.?.Here it comes:

    2023-05-01-203252_003.jpeg

    runtz: 80 cm
    ssc: 88 cm
    ws: 100 cm

the next grow I will have to do some thing shorter, theres just 20 cm left to the lights.
I will take them some of their leaves, to steal them some power.

Sorry, I am surprised myself..i really tried to keep it "boring" and calm.
    Cheers!

day 47 BF runtz, strawberry cheesecake and watermelon skittles
  • Another monday after a workful week.
There was a lot to do to get back something you can call a canopy.
The stretch was insane on the watermelon skittles while the strawberry cheesecake profited - looks nice
the runts is somewhere inbetween, lets see how the buds develop. At least theres a lot of space for nice nuggets.
    So first some overall shots

    and some bud closeups

    2023-05-08-162213_007.jpeg

the last pic is the ssc ans she will be fed on her own now with bloom nutes EC 2...because

    2023-05-08-162213_003.jpeg

she started eating her lower leaves. This is not a problem, it is my indicator for "hey guy, look the upper is green, we want more p and k" to switch to bloom (0-0-20-10 NPK ~ 8-15-13 slowly cutting N during flowering).

I took off most leaves from upper to the lower "skirt" from all.
the other two will be feed on 8-11-16 for a week. they still need it.
The EC was swinging between 1600 and 1900.
In the last pic you see some runoff in the tray, that's the second from a flush this grow - just 4L "waste" yet for the garden.

Everything is now heading to an uncircumventable end.

This time a special salute for all the brits...

    Cheers! Cheers! Cheers!

day 54 - sorry corrected - BF runtz, strawberry cheesecake and watermelon skittles
  • moonday.
All going smoothly. The feed is at 0-0-40-10 (NPK 8-15-14) at EC 2.0. PH 6.0.

Now I can say that I have the nutes under control. The bloom mix was successful last run, when i had to replace the prior recipe because of the changes in the nute-line.
So we will hopefully see a nice autumn tent in the coming weeks.

The plants became dark green in the upper sections, which indicates they are now on the upper N level and the PK is dialled in.
Nothing but rearranging them and plucking off !healthy! upper leaves for better air and light penetration
    2023-05-15-093841_005.jpeg

single plant in the back - watermelon skittles
    2023-05-15-093841_006.jpeg

    strawberry cheesecake
    2023-05-15-093841_007.jpeg

and the "smallest" - the runtz
    2023-05-15-093841_008.jpeg

frontrow scc left and runtz right
    2023-05-15-093841_010.jpeg

and the lower big fans - this is how they look after a week transition. They served well and did their duty.
Two examples - upwards from what you see everything is lush and healthy - just the lower section got harmed - that's the intention: the (edit - mixed up) ws needed very little transition adaption and the leaves were nearly not sucked. Just a little. she threw flowers latest and smallest of all yet.
    2023-05-15-093841_011.jpeg

the scc sucked 4 lowers and abandoned them and now this is what's there without much of a change for the last week now She has the most beautiful and "biggest" flowers of all yet.
    2023-05-15-093841_012.jpeg

so I watch some more time and then remove all at approx day 55. But the real deal is, that the above wasn't harmed at all.
So they are all on the same res again and we will see some degrading on all from now on, cos to find the minimum feed there must be some lack on one plant at least visible. But I try not to do much harm, just "immitate" a natural nutrient fade.

    Cheers!

day 61 - BF runtz, strawberry cheesecake and watermelon skittles
  • So we are back to boring - the girls go their way and first I want to show you the underskirt.
The feed was 0-0-20-8 and EC 2.1 - since yesterday I go with 0-0-20-4 (NPK 4-14-13) PH 6.0.
Still no runoff but now some salt buildup at the corners of the pyramids. Should be some N and K excess. Nothing bad.
You'll spot some N excess in the pics later, that's because they stood in hot runoff too long - flooded the trays once by accident last week so N was swinging very much.

The girls slowly degrade, progressing very slow. I didn't remove any of the damaged leaves.

    front right runtz
    2023-05-22-105256_004.jpeg

back ws - in the back you see the newly introduced N def..i cut N by half, a little too much - the smaller ones take it better, so I decided to stick with it...see pics later
    2023-05-22-105256_006.jpeg

    front left scc
    2023-05-22-105256_005.jpeg

the leaves are still "on" and were not abandoned, parts of the damaged leaves are alive and they get sucked.

Now an overview - you see degradation only down in the bottom part - there in the biggest and lowest leaves. Only the latest introduced N def sucks "nearer" where needed, which means a little more in the upper parts.
    2023-05-22-105256_007.jpeg

the tops look great - as expected a P def here and there a little cal lack - nothing I worry about - I am surfing a small razors edge with nutes.
    2023-05-22-105256_008.jpeg

some closeups of the buds - here you see why I cut N to half - tips began to burn and the P def was/is there so EC has to be same but N had to be lowered.

they are fattening and frosting up now for the last weeks.
    This is a joyride.

    And here...lights out flash on
    2023-05-22-105256_002.jpeg

it is easy this way to distinct the ladies from another - very different bud appearance, but all very appealing. And it is nice to see how the stretch messed with the runtz and the watermelon skittles, while the scc (left front) profited much.

Have a nice week! I'll be back in laid-back-mode, putting sunglasses on to enjoy all that glitter and glitz.

    Cheers!

  • all is fine and we are heading into the last week or two.
They went now down to 0-0-50-5 NPK 2-15-14 EC 1600 the next days I will watch them fade.
I took off the rest of the bigger leaves, so now they no longer have the reservoirs
