Doesn't Sniper use sand to combat them too? Sand on the top? I'm pretty sure Stunted does that too...

Iv used sand many many times and it does work great for gnats and other annoying pests

I've been using the fly strip and toothpick method. I'm gonna do some planning and grab some of those pots

I recently picked some up a few weeks ago. Works wonders to keep it under control.
I never thought of the sand thing though. I think I might try that out. Local store has some washed sand in the gardening section.

Thought, would the sand cause the pot to not dry out as fast?


Edit: Oh, and Kaos. Ive been meaning to ask. Would you say she is a lighter or heavier feeder.
Does she like a lot of P-K boosting during flower? or just a little bit here and there. Thanks in advance Kaos.
I just want to make sure I can grow this out the best I can.

8 little beans hit the dirt tomorrow!!!!!! in #5 Redi Root Pots love these thing's. Don't get me wrong I love the air pots also but I have a huge gnat issue, and the fabric helps keep them at bay verses the air pots which are a gnat hotel with hudreds of rooms open in each pot....

Hope they ain't the Lemonheads, as were germing the 24th. I'm intrigued by the pots, you used them before. I'll be checking them out for sure

I've used sand before and it is really effective, but it will cake up almost like cement/clay so you need to break it up every watering and water seeps thru it very slowly, so it's very effective and very annoying also lol I use demascous earth now and it's been keeping them at bay

Yes very good point I didn't mention that is the down fall of the sand it does cake up and make a sort of plaster top on the soil

Well here we go again. I have beans on hand. Thanks Kaos, Im definitely looking for a BOM Nom out of this run. And looking at the names on the comp list, I am confident there are a few who feel the same about themselves. Im gonna run 20/4 I added a few AN additives I have been wanting to run alongside my current line up.
