Jraven's Alaska Sunroom Grow 2017

wow! i always love seeing your scenery shots... Alaska is incredibly beautiful.

Sorry about the issues you had this year with growing. The weather does seem really weird... Our summer finally hit us hard but now we're smoked out from the interior fires... not sure what the haze/smoke cover is doing to the quality of light.

Do you think you'll set up an indoor light grow?

Thanks sister, yep it's been a weird one here...not really too different but just way more of the grey. It has shown me that I shouldn't depend on the sun so supplemental lighting of some sort is in the plan, but not a indoor light grow yet. Some day I hope but being off-grid makes it trickier hehe.
We've been hearing about the fires...we'll be driving down to the border from Rupert in October, thinking things might look a bit different @ the Williams Lake area.

Off grid - very cool. My husband is huge into alternative energy and has built a couple different types of water wheels, stream generators etc. We have a solar water heating system on our roof that is pretty neat.

I wonder what you could rig up to power your lights! I kmow very little about indoor growing and how much electricity it takes.

Yea, definitely a different sort of drive through that area.

Yep way off the grid here lol. We have hydro and solar power(plus gasoline) but not quite enough yet for an indoor grow. I've been looking at the COB lights seems like they're pretty efficient I'm hoping to use some for starting plants...Hoping to add more solar panels after this fishing season and that would help. I wouldn't mind burning some petrol if necessary but don't want to depend on it solely.

We have a 3K wind turbine,we are looking to get some solar, soon. I think that is the way to go.The wind has cut our power consumption by 2/3 .We are waiting for solar to get more cost effective. When my wife retires in a few ,we are going to build a little greenhouse. We would like to get some solar and put some earth tubes under the greenhouse to help heat and cool so we can have veggies all year round.I got more shit to spend it on than i got money.LOL Peace please

Hi folks, hope all is well.:pass:
Not a lot happening in the plant world here, but I'm starting to see a pistil or two on the Bomb THC, one that's been in the makeshift greenhouse. I had to break her over yesterday to fit.

I got some higher P-K neuts (fox farm open sesame) and will give them another blackout period. The two that I moved into the solarium haven't shown yet but they have some bud hanger potential :)

Here's the only one of the Z6xHarle-Tzu photos that has developed buds, definitely getting some extract from her

Fishing has been real slow for a while but we are staying close to home anyway here's a pic of my work place and gear, anchored at home for the eve.

I like how the gulls mob the fishguts when she's cleaning. Leave the bladder intact and they float. Lot of fisherman don't do it because other's can see when you're catching.

Here's a typical look at the world as we see it:)

Good growing everyone
