Right now I can only base them from last years grow but I would expect The Legend to preform very good outside as the Banana Daddy I crossed her from was a real easy grow last year OD. I have grown out the Spice Cake outdoors also and she handles very well to. I usually grow with Synganics I have heard it called. I mainly use Dry Organics and a water only schedule but I do feed with salt based nutrients on Sundays. I really like the Fox Farm Cha Ching, and Beasty Bloom. I have been using some Remo Neuts also that I had gotten for free at a trade show they seem to work pretty good. Outdoors I use my chicken manure from the birds I raise for eggs and there egg shells end up in the garden, I also have a rabbit for the kids that I put its waste down in the garden. Im turning up the top soil here this weekend down in the garden to mix up all the leftovers from last years veggie garden into the soil for nutrients. In about a month Ill mix in some 20-20-20 and Epsom salts down into the soil before the start of the season. I like to use the Xtreme gardening Mykoes, and Dr Earth Tomato and Garden, and Bud and Bloom Booster. I have been pretty happy with the Dr Earth Dry amendments indoor and out.Hey there @Jean-O
Everything is looking real good.
Im not sure what one I like best.
What are there characteristics? you know high, flavor, dankness, yield, which is better for outside ?
Also Are you growing with synthetics outside? If so what are your nutrients of choice?
I think I like the Legend
Thanks
I haven't tried the Skunk Butter yet but it is very Skunky and gassy with a bit of something floral hidden in there also. It has some solid chunky baseball nuggs all over her though and a good internodal spacing. She had a pretty nice stretch during pre flower.
The Speed Racer has a more open flower structure, her mother which was a Lilac Diesel from Ethos had the same flower structure as did the Duke auto I crossed it with to to make the speed racer. Both the parent strains tested very good outdoors last year for pest and disease resistance so I am expecting this one to have the same but haven't tested it outdoors yet but will this year. The flower is floral and citric with a bit of fresh linen and has a speedy energetic high.
The Spice Cake tested really good outdoors last couple of years. It has solid golf ball nuggs and gets a pretty good stretch during pre flower. Its a spicy black pepper terpene profile with a bit of gas and floral undertones. She has a very speedy high and finishes mid to late October outside.
The Legend has a very unique terpene profile. It is grapey, musky, floral, vitamins, tobacco, rotten banana, and dirty socks all mixed up probably more it puts my nose on overload! She is super greasy and plum full of trichomes.... The effects are heavy and sedative. The Banana Daddy I crossed her from was the largest yielder in my garden last year and threw down heavily to say the least..... The bud structure is dense and large stacked cola's.
I will probably be looking for a few testers for some of the strains after they are done if you are interested Ill tag you in and get you some of the beans when its time.... I am starting harvest on this run over the next week or so and the beans will be ready for a germination test about mid April.
