Indoor Jean-O's Genetics Autoflower seed Run Finish

I finally broke down and ordered me a PH meter and PPM TDS meter from Vivosun. I was fairly surprised when I checked what I water the plants with. 9.8 PH and 235 ppm out the faucet and after leaving out overnight in a 5-gallon bucket... As long as its consistent with the PH the 9.8 isn't going to hurt anything but isn't ideal. No more curiosity as to why I don't see heavy fades on a lot of the cultivars only the super hungry ones don't get enough from the tap.
I just ordered new filters for the 3-stage water filter system I put in over the winter so I will see where this winds up after I replace the filters.

I've finally had a bit of time and some so so weather to be able to get down and put a little work into the outdoor garden. Tearing out the weed barrier that didn't work at all and burning a lot of branches and old stalks from last year mixing up the compost and chicken maneuver getting ready to make some mounds to plant. The decision i made for the plan this year is way smaller plants lots more lolipoping and bud stripping. I'm hoping to cut probably 60% off from last years yields just to keep things a lot easier come harvest.
This year's outdoor photoperiods
The Rev R2
Helter Skelter R1
CBD S1
Cream Cheeze F1
Amethyst S1 Lavender Pheno
Crazy Kush R1
Honey Badger R1
The autos won't go out till June so I still have time to decide those that I will be running.

I'm a holdout so I feel you, and I've always been curious about my PPM...I know my PH comes out at the red end of the spectrum (8s+?) based on drops; but I think I locked out some plants a few grows back and went back to roughly PHing my watering buckets to the ~mid 6s (medium yellow color). The tool should give you some options at least

wow, river water here is 7
I'm not entirely sure the accuracy of this new gadget yet either. My well is tapped into a natural spring and we did just get a ton of rain. Definitely something worth tracking.

You can get calibration fluid from Amazon. Only really need the 7.0. Fresh rainwater should be between 6-7. My meter being out just 0.2-0.3 can make a big difference quick :pass:

Yup, I collect rain water. It usually meters at 6.3 for me. The more points you calibrate to, the more accurate your readings. My meters requires 2, 1 at 7.0 and a second at 4.0. I notice the low end is usually out by 0.2 or 0.3 which can mess with nuitent up take. At least in my experience.

You will have to calibrate it when you get it and then calibrate it regularly every 2-4wks so get some calibration fluid too!

It came with the 7. Cal fluid and seemed to calibrate fine. I wonder if being surrounded by 100s of achers of farm runoff could cause the reading. Definitely makes sense my ppm is really high.

Just remember to keep it calibrated to the 7.0 and it should read fine, ive been ising the same moxes for so long i can tell when my meter needs calibrating as it will start to drift and give me progressively higher or lower readings, ive found that once a month or two seems to work well for me and i dont end up getting the reading drifts.
