Well its that time of year again! whoo hoo! Time to start this years outdoor crop! So I have the Pineapple Not so Express that is not or did not autoflower from Growers Choice seed CO (Bummer) but she is now 70 days old and well into veg for the summer. As long as this plant doesn't decide to auto she will end up being a giant being she will be almost a year old when she finishes flower this fall. I set up my drying room yesterday with a 45 watt led grow light for some slow veg till spring and I will be popping some seeds over the next month for my outdoor grow. My plans for this years outdoor grow is a little different than last years if anyone watched as I grew out 11 monstrous plants last year but this year I plan to only do about 4 huge plants and a bunch of autoflowers and possibly some light dep depending on if I have time this year as I am building a new house also so I will be extremely busy this year owning and operating a small tool and die shop, building a house, having 6 kids to raise, and living on a small farm with my veggie gardens and chickens damn I must think Im super man lol. Anyways back to the grow. For this years photoperiod grow I have had some luck procuring seeds this year and I was gifted some seeds from Dinafem and HSO so I have some Fast Flowering strains to try out this year here in Michigan with our shitty flower weather. I have some OGKZ fast flowering seeds some Quick Kush, Green Crack fast flowering, and Blue WIdow. Also during last years grow I crossed all of my photoperiods with a Blue Cheese autoflower pollen so I plan to try out a few of my new crosses in hopes of finding a fast flowering version of a few of the photoperiods I grew out last year. I generally start my outdoor photoperiod plants some time in February and veg them in solo cups until the first of May when I will transplant them outdoors straight into the ground. Outdoor growing photoperiods is very much a game of extreme patience as the grow starts very slow and takes roughly 9 to 10 months start to finish and is extremely important to me being that it is the brunt of my years medicine so its critical that I get everything right on the money. I plan on using cedar chips this year in the grow to help deter bugs I will also be planting some insect deturring flowers and herbs around the gardens as last year insects were my biggest issue next to all of the rain and crappy weather we had here in Michigan. Anyways that's enough talk on that I guess for now.
