Electricity will determine what we can do. You may need to put a tent in the room to make a much smaller space or you can grow the whole room? In a 4x6x8 foot space I run a max of 1000 watts for lights, pumps and fans. At various times of the year I run a dehumidifier 650 w or heater 650 w the humidifier is 25 w. I have this spread out over 3 - 15A circuits. Your space is 5 times the size of mine without the closet. So in all seriousness get a qualified electrician to give you a number. You want to be able to go to sleep at night knowing you are not overloading a circuit.

This is the tentative layout at max capacity of the room I’m dealing with. There are 4 solid 4x4 sections, and 3 smaller sections from 9-14 ft squared. I will build out the room first, hopefully I can start next week. My plan right now is to start In the 4x4 at the top left of the diagram, and work my way around the room if everything goes well. The only thing I really do with my friends is smoke the stuff and make fun of each other. My goal is to have a full operating room in this space within the year you guys. (If I could figure out the electricity part, I hope to be able to use my entire basement eventually also. I have way too much time on my hands and I cannot garden outdoors all year. It’s cold here . Just trying to keep anyone looking kind of up to date with my thought process. I appreciate you all I just want you to know!! Also sorry about the makeshift blueprint. I just threw the numbers together to give a small visual. (The flooring will be started with 4’ x 8’ rigid foam board.) No, you want to be able to walk all of the way around your plants. I have a hard time reaching my back plants in a 4 foot deep space. I hate it but it was all the space in the room I had to work with.

All the spaces I diagramed as 4x4 will in fact be individual spaces of that size. That info you just Gave was huge. Your max of 1000 watts, you mean max of actual wattage that everything is pulling from the wall? I do happen to know right this second where I could spread 1000 watts from the wall across 3 - 15 a circuits. Life has just happen to teach me that since moving here. I want to treat the electrician like anything else-need to know, if I can. If I could focus on making one 4x4 produce to start I would be happy. I’ll never get over how much I love you Ben just discussing this all with you. I can’t wait to get going no matter what it takes. One little question I do have is if you’d know, if my electricity potential doesn’t match my goals, is there affordable ways to change that or upgrade a system? I have plenty room other places in my house I could use if I’m going to have to end up spending new car money on an electrical system. My dreams may be outrunning reality. That’s ok!! I also do want to keep one part of that sectioned off space for a dark drying room. Or create a rotational system I don’t know. All ideas and brainstorms until the funding gets here. I hope I don’t come off wrong, can I ask why you don’t move the room around a little? Is the way it’s set up necessary? Again, if it is I just don’t know, but it seems like if you could turn the planting system and have it right in the middle of the 4x4 and you had your heater and dehumidifier on either side pushed back, maybe you could get to all of them? I do see what you’re getting at though. I love the mental grinding. You guys are changing my life. As much as I love my mj, it’s also a serious and necessary medicine for me to be comfortable. I’m sure we all love it for our own reasons. thanks y’all this is so dope

Big sigh. Big big sigh. I know at the very least, I have only a 60 amp elec system. I didn’t have to look far. So, it’s as little as it gets. space ain’t all that matters I guess I may just be a micro grower after all

Map your circuits in that room to the rest of the house - branch circuits share the load. You may already have a washer, dryer, refrigerator etc. already on those outlets or they could all be on the same circuit. Disregard this at your own peril!

I rent, so everything I’m doing eventually will move. And I can’t really mess with the house like I’d want to. I will be here quite a while though. Also as weird as it may sound I don’t have any of those appliances here. We don’t need to get into all the how or whys but without doing any sort of recon, I do know where to find 3 separate circuits. I believe. I don’t know if that’s what I know I guess, circuits would be each section of the house ran off of a 15 a or 20 a fuse in the box correct? If so, there are 3 circuits in my house I actually don’t use at all. The only time I do is to leave a random light on so someone may think I’m home. And if I have extra fuses can’t I just be an idiot and plug shit in and if I blow something just go down and fix it? I mean, Im not asking you to tell me that’s ok, but I’m asking if that would cause potentially more harm than the obvious like that doesn’t seem smart stuff if that made sense e

If that house is so old you have fuses then you really need to talk to an electrician.

No modern house wiring does not go to a section of the house. For example my kitchen refrigerator, hall lights, master batroom light/outlet and 2 wall outlets in the spare bedroom are on the same 15A circuit.
