Indoor Is this normal,? 3 leave sets per node!.

It's be coming more common. It's called a trifoliate. Some plants grow out of it, some don't. If it doesn't grow out of it then each node will have 3 branches instead of two.
I'm hoping it stays as it is she just looks awesome. Cheers mate and stay safe

Is this purely genetic? Or could this be caused by accidently removing plant material along with the seed husk? I've topped plants in the past and got the goofy club leaf shape, and it promotes extra node growth.

That's what I thought. I really fought to lose its shell , so I helped a little and thought I fad caused the funny club leaf, plant is looking good so I cant be doing to bad.. Stay safe man

Fingers crossed mate. I have followed or should I say caught up on some of your posts. Thanks for your reply. Just a thought... in theory if it was to keep growing like this and was topped surely that would produce 3 main colas .... in theory!? Thanks again and stay safe.
Look at this mate. Beautiful.

after thinking about it a little more im pretty sure its genetic. when the leaves are in the seed husk they are folded upward and together. even if you removed the husk and took some leaf material with it, it wouldn't act like topping because the node would be protected by the leaves being folded. it could still explain the club shape though. hooray for mutants!

I love mutants. Strange effects, strange appearance, breed one branch and see if it replicates. Mutants are how we got the duckster and many other sweet strains

there's just something about this leaf pattern that i find incredibly attractive. she looks great man, i cant wait to see her flower!

there's a reason all living things mutate constantly throughout their life cycle. most mutations are completely unnoticeable, other times it's cancer, But every now and then you get that stroke of luck with random beneficial mutations. just like with birds, often the brightest colored males get picked first by the lady birds. at one time that bright color was simply a random mutation, but the chicks dig it, so it got passed on until it became normal. the same applies here, you can selectively breed these mutants until they stabilize and create new strains. just wait until cannabis becomes a world trade commodity and real geneticist start using CRISPER to modify plants. i think in the next 20 years we will see some crazy shit, like glow in the dark weed lol.

Great point about the birds.
I'm waiting on odorless weed mutation lol.
Come on Z Particles! do your thing...
