The Zamaldelica Express is still growing and throwing bud sites, though she’s showing cal deficiencies with brown spots on leaves, in addition to yellowed leaves. She looks more healthy than unhealthy overall, and I’m trying to leave her be and adjust to the 80% lights and slightly stronger nutes. But now, my CDLC is showing signs of something similar on its lower leaves, starting to creep up the nodes.
I’m really trying to learn to read the plants and suspect some sort of lockout, under the assumption from earlier that 2.5-3 mL/gal Botanicare CalMag is too much mag for the MC. I filled the res with 5 gallons of 560 ppm MC/CalMag (3.0g/Gal MC with 2.5 mL/Gal CalMag). I should note the Double Grape also on the same res continues to thrive unabated. Res and indiv pots are at 560 ppm and 6.1 pH.
I now have Gypsum in hand. My question is, should I add some dissolved gypsum to the existing 4.xx gallons in the res, and maybe bring the ppm down to 500ish, or is there another thing I should be looking at here? And is 1g/gal a good amount of gypsum to start with? Thanks so much. The first two pics below are the ZE, the last three are the CDLC.
