Is something off?

Seedlings dont need allot of light make sure the light is up HIGH and dont let the soil be too damp/wet or it will die from rot .damping off .I know its hard to not fiddle at first but just pick up the cup and see if its light or heavy and only water when its light for first 2 weeks or more. You want roots to grow big and hunt for every drop of water. Good luck!

Just too quick for me! :pass:

Duelling VPD charts!

My thoughts, which aren't based on any citable research:

The VPD chart was developed by plant scientists for the generic plant, not for MJ.
MJ growers looked at the high humidity recommended by VPD, and the fear of bud rot made them abandon the chart after early veg.
Instead, they developed their own chart that's not based on any research.

It should be called a "VPD inspired" chart that justifies the humidities that most growers have always been using.
For example, during late flower at 78 F (likely 73 F leaf temp), the real VPD chart recommends a minimum humidity of 55%.
Not having humidity of 55% or more means not following the VPD chart.
Users of the "VPD inspired" chart will believe that the correct minimum humidity is 30%, which is far from the VPD recommendation.
Although I seriously doubt it, 30% could be best, but it isn't based at all on the VPD chart.

This might be a bit picky, but it's customary for charts to have values that increase from left to right.

Personally, I follow VPD with humitity around 65% from seed to harvest in DWC, and have never had bud rot.
Maybe it's different for more germ-prone solid media.

Honestly not using VPD was a lot because we hid to grow, and there wasn't any internet. Nobody shared info, most growers had no actual knowledge of how things work, maybe a little gardening experience...

The internet and and great sites like this one have allowed the science of growing to spread like wildfire.

And I'm a south paw.... everything is backwards.
