Hi, all I have been spraying my plant for a little over 2 weeks like 17 days I believe. I made a homemade batch of cs with 14 gauge silver wire. I am currently spray 4 under branches an have 2 upper nodes and the main cola that will get some pollen along with a blue himalaya. The sites are getting the brown shriveling pistils but not sure if I can see sacs starting to form. Do you guys think my solution is working? I let the batch cook up about 22 hrs.

20170926_151640.jpg This is the unsprayed main cola still nice looking no browning or shriveling pistils.

20170926_151734.jpg Full plant shot you can see another lower branch which was sprayed an has the same affects as the other sprayed branches. The plant is 30 days old today seen pre flower since day 16 been spraying since.

it takes 4-5 weeks on average

looks like its changing. Keeping
spraying for a month, once a week.

Pop you said once a week to spray or did you mean one daily? This whole thing has me a bit on edge. Im so stoked on trying to reverse a plant. Im worried thinking she may not give sacs or my solution may be weak. I don't have a ppm but I let the batch of cs cook about 22 hrs and now a new batch at 27 hrs. To make sure it has a good bit of cs I check the beam with a laser and its always been a solid beam through the glass. For some reason the plant is small so the buds will be small so maybe she can't produce male parts for this size reason? Maybe I'll start another plant hopefully she will be a bigger plant.

Some people spray daily. I've experimented with daily and weekly. Probably the better way would be every other day, give the plant a little recovery time. Realize, we're literally poisoning the plant to cause this change. This is why I went to STS, simple to make, easy to use, no guessing if your solution is good.

If this does fail, with the sts how many applications do you apply? And how easy is it to make compared to cs?

very easy to make, 2 applications is plenty, some people only do one! 2 weeks apart on the spraying

its posted on afn but I'll give the instructions here for you:

Preparation of STS:

First, a stock solution is made. It consists of two parts (A and B) that are initially mixed separately, then blended together. Part A is ALWAYS mixed into part B while stirring rapidly. Use distilled water; tap water may cause precipitates to form.

Wear gloves while mixing and using these chemicals, and mix and use in a properly ventilated area. A mask will prevent the breathing of any dust, which is caustic. STS is colorless and odorless, and poses minimal health risks if used as described here. (See material safety data sheet links below). Note that silver nitrate and STS can cause brown stains upon drying, so spray over newspaper and avoid spilling.

Part A: .5 gram silver nitrate stirred into 500ml distilled water

Part B: 2.5 grams sodium thiosulfate (anhydrous) stirred into 500ml distilled water

The silver nitrate dissolves within 15 seconds. The sodium thiosulfate takes 30-45 seconds to dissolve.

The silver nitrate solution (A) is then mixed into the sodium thiosulfate solution (B) while stirring rapidly. The resulting blend is stock silver thiosulfate solution (STS).

This stock solution is then diluted at a ratio of 1:9 to make a working solution. For example, 100ml of stock STS is added to 900ml of distilled water. This is then sprayed on select female plants. Then do that second spraying at the end of week 2... seems to be the key for getting pollen from the more difficult strains.

I'll probably buy these products off ebay if the cs doesn't work for me. I would guess you weigh out the material on a scale? .5 and 2.5 grams ? How long does the stock solution stay for?
