Iriee Vibez Grows With Loving Soil

Gorilla Zkittlez Pre Harvest
  • So, I used my trusty loupe to examine the trichs on the GZ. I was expecting mostly cloudy, but saw 10% amber, which is what I like to shoot for. It was time to harvest, at only Day 62. I was hoping that the buds would thicken up some more, but when it’s ready it’s ready.

To be honest, this is one strain that I am anxious to try. Two of my all time favorites combined!

Here are some pre harvest pics.

    RQS Honey Cream Dried
  • The RQS Honey Cream was as fast as promised. She was ready at day 93, and only 6 weeks of flowering. She was showing 10% amber, and the calyx were also telling me it was time. After trimming and cutting the buds away all stems and stalks, she has a dry weight of 180 grams, or 6.3 ounces. Somehow I thought she was going to yield alot more. But I cant have a shorter plant and have those monster yields. All my outdoor plants were germinated in the last week of June, to limit veg time. I just allowed myself to dream about possibly getting a lot more out of her. Okay, if she is 6 ounces and my biggest, I am looking at maybe 4 for each of the others. Still will be a decent haul.

I did give it a precure taste, and liked what I had. It smells sweet and already gives that same taste. The high is mellow in the head, and heavy in the body. Very functional, as you can see by me writing this post. It is a very strong weed, though. I am happy with 6 ounces of this for sure!

    Black Skull Zkittlez pre Harvest
  • The Zkittlez by Black Skull Seeds is at Day 64 and in the final stretch. I have given her a pre harvest trim, and watching trichomes daily. Right now she is all cloudy with just a couple ambers. I imagine a couple days to get 10%, where I like to harvest most of my plants. I got a great new loupe that provides me with more clarity than I have ever had in looking at trichomes. But, its for my eyes only, as I cant take a pic through it. Haha!

She almost successfully filled in her tall and lanky frame, and the buds got really dense over these past few weeks. She will yield more than I thought just a couple weeks ago. I cant wait to give her a taste!

Also, my little solo cup experiment is coming to a finish now. At least, I was able to finish this time. I have some ideas on how I can improve the outcome now, and having much better weather is the first part.

Last, but not least, I have a new seedling. This is a Barney Farms Wedding Cake Auto. I have a few more barney strains to try, but this one was high on my list. I planted no till in the same pot that I harvested the Gorilla Zkittlez. Let's see how the soil holds up.

    Happy growing, folks! Cheers! :pass:

    Gorilla Glue Harvest
  • Happy Holidays, AFN! I hope everyone is doing well going into 2021!

It's been pretty hectic with everything going on these days, so In haven't updated much. I am not complaining because I am well medicated with the Gorilla Glue I harvested in two parts. She yielded 181 grams of dried buds, not counting the larf and shake, so easily the best yielding auto plant since I started growing organically. I was so impressed by her that I planted another Barney's Farm GG seed right next to the stalk I harvested.

This weed is strong and makes me feel warm inside, in a nice relaxing way. It tastes like pine and citrus, which is traditionally GG flavors. And like I said, I have to put out a joint three quarters of the way through, unless I want to get really baked. I will always try to keep this breeder's version of my favorite strain around. I am very happy with both the quality and quantity.

RocBudInc Purple Scoops - Day 50
    Barney's Gorilla Glue Auto - Day 38

Time for a quick update. I think this grow has confirmed that autos finish quicker on a 24 hour light schedule. I am seeing aboit 10% amber trichs on the Do-si-dos at day 57, and the Purple Scoops is already fully cloudy at day 50! I will be harvesting the older plant in a couple days before day 60, which will be a new record for me. That record will be broken with the Purple Scoops in the 1 gallon pot. I think the smaller pot sped up ten development even more.

    Barney's Do-Si-Dos Auto
This plant is rushing to the finish line. it seems that she is in a hurry to share that luscious bouquet of sweet skunkiness that I am getting each time I touch a bud. She isn’t a big plant, but has plenty of dense buds, so she should yield decently. I am expecting at least 4 ounces from her. I never tried this strain but the smoke reports I have read has been out of the world. If I don’t post for a while, you know I am loving it!

    RocBudInc Purple Scoops

Tried this out in a one gallon since I wanted to try this new strain. She will be the fastest plant I ever grew. She will nit make it past the next week, so will be harvested before Day 57. She won’t be a huge yielder, but that’s not why I grew her in this small pot. I will get a chance to enjoy and try a new strain and see if I want to grow it in a larger pot one day in the near future. Indoor real estate is scarce!

    Barney's Gorilla Glue Auto

Just like her seed packet sister, this plant is impressive. The last one yielded 6 ounces, and this seems just as eager to deliver a yield like that, when I compare their growth rate. After this plant is harvested, I will be planting another in the same pot. With the awesome job that Barney’s did with their version of the GG#4, which has been my favorite strain for the past decade. It is simply the best version of the strain that I have tried. I think I will always have one in my cabinet. What a great job Barney’s did with this one.
