Indoor Iriee Vibez grows Blue Toof & DP Lemon Zkittle outdoors

I am out of town for a few days again. I changed the reservoir and the top off tank to keep things going while I am gone.

I switched out the Blurple LED for my flowering lights, a COB and an adjustable Chilled LED. I turned the LED at about half strength, so about 50 watts, while the COB is at 75 watts. Will start there and see how they like it. I will kick in the UV next week when I should have some real buds.

I took these pics under the light. The color is a bit off, bu better than if I took with the Blurple! Keeping my fingers crossed for nothing crazy happening while I am gone. Cheers!

Thanks Med. I have been lucky so far, and I like it. I have a better exhaust fan this time, and it’s proven to be really the star of this grow. I set it to a max temp of 90 degrees and it then kicks on to keep it below that. I am sure I would have temps in the 100’s before. Remember this is the same time I attempted my first grow, and all the challenges I had. I really do think that the fact that the roots are always in 66 degree water helps them handle the temps also.

I am a bit more worried about the outdoor plants, but am optimistic just based on how they seem to love it out there. It sure does seem easier to grow in soil outdoors. I probably will have an outdoor run every year. This way I can run a couple photo strains that I have been dying to try, like Lemon Zkittle, which won the 2018 high times cup.

Fun stuff for sure man.

So they are doing well outside? Did you show the setup on here? Not sure if you said anything about putting them in shade or what not.

Growing outdoors in soil is so easy and fun man! The best way to grow really...

I thought I posted that here, but realized it was on my Instagram feed. I had them in pretty full sun up until now. I decided to put them in partial sun, shaded in the mornings, since it will be almost a hundred for a couple days while I am gone.

I also have a sun shade that I can put over the plants later.

Day 33 Blue Toof Special Pheno

I came home to a couple of happy plants. BT1 already was flowering when I left and BT2 kicked in over the past couple of days. BT1 is well into the stretch and the little ne is just starting. I haven't done any real training on these, but will do some defoliation tomorrow with the reservoir change, and then see what The plants want me to do after. I try to just listen to the plants..

BT2 just a little behind, but looking decent.

The outdoor photo Lemon Zkittle are really stretching up and side branching now. So cool to see how these are developing. I am really liking the simplicity and ease of an outdoor organic soil grow. Really just winging it with these girls now, as I get my soil watering routine dialed in. They seem to have handled the 100 degree days while I was gone, and I am getting a bit more confident that they will finish.

That's just fun! Great job bro, I told you those girls outside would be ok. A little planning goes a long way.

So far so good with them, Med! I wish I had a couple autos going also. I may have been able to do two outdoor Auto grows. Well, that's the plan for 2020 anyway! Cheers brother!:pass:

Loving the outdoor girls and you are doing a great job of "winging it" lol
:slap:
When do you expect them to start flowering? Must still be 1 1/2 - 2 months veg time still left?

Edit - sorry dude I slapped you but cant give you any rep until I spread the rep love around to other users!

Hey Chro! Thanks man! It's the thought that counts, my man!
I think your estimate is right on the money. They have a while to go before flower is trigggered naturally. I do need them to stay below the six foot fence line, though! Hopefully, the smaller 3 gallon pot helps to manage that. We will see! Pretty fun stuff!
