Lighting Introducing The Cannon, a 240 Watt powerhouse brought to you by BlackSailMarket.com

Interesting light.
I built a COB using the CLU058 3500k with a meanwell adjustable Driver.
In a 4x4 I pulled 460g dry from 4 plants using it. Max wattage I used was 320.
The yield could have been better as I was running RDWC with all 4 sharing the same res and had nutrient issues.
This run, I am doing a single Blackberry Gum in the same tent with the same light.
I also went with the 80CRI model as it is more efficient in lumens per watt, but I may get the 90CRI one at some stage because the spread seems a bit better.
I also went with a different Meanwell driver as I wanted the lower % setting.
I am currently running it at 20Watts. 10" above a seedling.

That's awesome man! I'll definitely check out your AFN posts. Yeah with DWC I bet you'll be able to get up to 2 GPW. I grow in living soil but when I get back to California I want to try some DWC, the growth rates are god damn bananas.

I completely agree on the 80 vs 90 CRI, and I'm thinking about offering a 3000K 80CRI option. I can do it now but you have to ask. Although, if you look at Cree's spectrum graph they have a 3000K 80CRI right next to a 3000K 90CRI. You lose efficiency but that 3000K 90CRI sticks out a lot farther into the far red region. People go all the way down to 1750K for some reason but you barely get any deeper red than 3000K 90CRI and the efficiency losses stack up fast.

Thanks for the heads up homie, happy growing:smoking:

Good info on the reds .... was thinking of a 1.750 just for flower addition but you’ve helped me eliminate the 1,750 option ...... Hardest thing to do in life is to make a choice and you just eliminated one of my choices, making my life easier .... THANK YOU for Sharing Brother!

Thanks bud, glad I could help! Yeah 1750 is a waste in my opinion, if you want that photo/far red go with the 3000K 90CRI:smoking:

2 weeks from seed...now under Cannons...finishing 2 Ghost Toof off....when finished ( next week ) ...new grow will go under one light til bigger then....then when bigger add 2nd light...

Right now..mature are being hit with 1200 umols down and new seedlings are in the range from 250-375 umols all the way around....first night and they loved it.

Appears light is at angle .... what is measure at top top and then down from top halfway to baby girls? also distance on measure(s).

Awesome, can't wait to see those babies take off:smoking:

Recommended hanging height is 18" from COB to canopy. You can hang them at an angle if you want, but you're going to lose a lot of light that way

Yes it is....Lights are positioned so that both light hitting the big plants are at 600 umols or greater (flowering) while smaller plants fall under light that is in range from 250-375 umol ( veg).
