Lighting Introducing The Cannon, a 240 Watt powerhouse brought to you by BlackSailMarket.com

Recommended hanging height is 18" from COB to canopy. You can hang them at an angle if you want, but you're going to lose a lot of light that way
Take note...can’t waste light on plants in areas where there are no plants....this is concentrating my 2 lights together for the surface area of growth I have.....When grow gets bigger other light will be taking off it’s angle and it’ll be a blast in horizontally across the floor bottom.
Like being encased in a light bubble from par readings...they love it.....frosty pics to follow

Yes it is....Lights are positioned so that both light hitting the big plants are at 600 umols or greater (flowering) while smaller plants fall under light that is in range from 250-375 umol ( veg).

Thanks for that info, good numbers for sure!

Pedro's getting into the last two weeks of his critical kush run. This is a single plant in a 10 gallon SIPS container, in a 3'x3' gorilla grow tent, with a single 240 Watt Cannon. 100% organic, beautiful work! I can't wait to see the results on this one.

The temperature has been around 73-74 degrees fahrenheit for the entire run, lol the 240 Watt Cannon doesn't put off enough heat! Pedro's gonna try out the 320 Watt Cannon on the next run, it should be really informative to see the difference, I'm hoping he keeps everything else exactly the same so we can get a good comparison.

Only 4 days until harvest!!! Pedro's rocking a 3'x3' Gorilla Grow Tent with a single 240 Watt Cannon. I'll post a full report on the yields & harvest as soon as I've got it. If anybody's still wondering whether you can cover a 3'x3' with a single COB, here's your answer:smoking:

Look in the corners, good size buds - shows good coverage - will buds be hard or airy?

Great question! I'm not just talking up the Cannon here, any 3500K LED is going to give you tighter, harder nugs than HPS. It's one of the automatic benefits you get from the improved spectrum. I'll see what Pedro says but in my experience those nugs are gonna be like golf balls:smoking:

Thanks for that info .... 3000K better or about same or too low?

Does Cannon have a straight 5000k, 4000k, 3000k or even lower, curious? As I know my lettuce would like 5000k better than 3500K? So I curious about Cannon offerings.

I've never grown lettuce, it does better under 5000K? Thanks man, I did not know that!

In my experience you're going to get great results (with cannabis) with any color temperature (or any mix) between 3000K-5000K. I put 3000K as the floor because below that you lose a lot of efficiency, and you don't get any better coverage in the photo/far red portion of the spectrum.

I put 5000K as the ceiling because I've grown under a 50/50 mix of 3500K and 5000K. My nodes were stacked right on top of each other and my growth rates were a little slower than usual with all that blue. 6500K could be useful if you're growing a really stretchy landrace sativa but in my experience 5000K will do the job, and going any higher sacrifices too much red light. Red light from ~620nm to ~730nm is the most efficient at driving photosynthesis, so you'll get faster growth and better yields with 3000K-3500K. If you want to use 5000K I'd highly recommend mixing it with 3000K or 3500K.

Your best bet if you want broad control over your spectrum is to blend two color temps (3000K & 3500K, 3000K & 4000K, etc...) The plant's reaction is very strain dependent, so the best way to go is to have a little more light in your growspace than you need. Then you can dim one color or the other to adjust your spectrum.

The Cannon comes in 3500K 80CRI but if you want a different color temperature just let me know and I'll order it, no problem:smoking:

We've got some beautiful results here, from another satisfied customer:smoking: My boy @northerly_frost_420 killin' it in a 3'x3' with his 320 watt Cannon!
