New Grower I probably should have waited until fall...

Thanks, Bro! I guess a new grower only see what's wrong with their own plants, but see what's right with others! Thanks for the encouragement, man!

Okay, I have decided to switch to a 12/12 light cycle. Not to induce budding, but as an attempt to control heat in my cabinet. We should be in or at 100 degrees where I am for the next two weeks, and I have come to the realization that my plants simply can't handle that kind of heat. With this light cycle, I think I can keep the temps in the cabinet from going over 100 at any point. I think the plants will be happier and less stressed.

Sure I know that I am losing precious growth time, but I am hoping that 12 hours of good strong full spectrum lighting with my Kind LED, and supplemental T-5 's should help make up some of it.

The plants have been in darkness for 12 hours in these pics, and already seem to be happier and overcoming the heat stress I saw two days ago. The GG appears to be praying for the light. And here comes 12 hours. By then, I think it will be close to 100 degrees, and it will be ready for some down time.

This move will either make or break the grow.

Day 38.

After 12 hours of darkness

Are you able to run the lights during the coolest part of the day? I run mine from 9PM to 9AM to help with the heat here. You need a light proof tent to run opposite to the daylight (if you are running any photos). I suppose your cabinet is light proof.

Yes, I am doing it from 10:00 to 10:00, as it takes a while to cool down from the early evening temps. How long have you been running 12/12, MOG?

Yes, the cabinet is lightproof, but I am only growing these two autos, anyway.

I turned the far red on 7/1 and flipped on 7/6. The 730 nm leds really cause the stretch to begin. I am running what is supposed to be all photos but two of the Zambeza Blueberries started flowering on their own before I flipped?

Got it. That makes sense.
