I cant get them to grow over two feet.

Wow....That is INCREDIBLE...
I honestly think if you have them outside already, that doing something like this would not be that labor intensive nor cost too much. You only have 3 plants so you wouldn’t need that much light. A single cob or efficient LED would work wonders for you I believe.

At this point, theyre entering flowering so probably not much of a point thus year, but next year makes sense.

Hey guys,

Not exactly a "New grower", this is my third year growing. BUT, Theres something I just cant figure out.

I'm an outdoor grower and I just cant get any of my plants (every year now...) to grow over 22inches or so.

This year I went with bigger pots, and I went with Tangiematic which is supposed to be a very large plant.

Im at day 45 here, and I think I'm only going to get one more shot at adding grow feed (multiple bud sites already). The tallest one yet again is only 22 inches.

Is my limiting factor here my sun exposure? I get about 8 hours of solid sun in the yard... Its really the only thing I can think of....

pupper! :jump: ppp

If you are only getting 8 hours of direct sun that’s goin to be your main issue. Autos in the wild are used to getting 20+ hours per day. Do you have the ability to enclose Those three plants in a little greenhouse type thing and supplement light at night outside?

That is what my entire grow theory and technique is based on. I grow in an outdoor greenhouse, that I also have 2000k watts of HID lights in at night. I think you could get away with putting one autocob on em at night and you would probably see I am guessin a 50% or more increase in height and a significant increase in yield.

this is my current setup. View attachment 1209501

so maybe you could just do a much much more scaled down version of this technique.
Awesome use of space and what’s around you there buddy. Love to do that here but the gendarmes would be on it like a tramp on a chip

Well Fastbuds advertises Tangiematic as a 4 foot+ auto. I picked it for that reason so I dont think the genetics is the issue here.
Unless you think that fastbuds is overselling? Or maybe to be frank, in a 16H 8 hour INDOOR grow, it could reach that.... But not outdoor with my level of sun...
Autos stretch when light hours are reduced. When I run autos next to my flowering photos on 12/12, the autos all end up tall and lanky due to the lower light hours and the stretching. Those plants are too uniform to say it's something you are or aren't doing. I'm still gonna say genetics.. Especially if they are fast buds, lol. If you can find a pic of a 4ft fast bud plant anywhere on the internet, I'll change my answer, lol.
