I have had the same problem!! slow growth knowing that the plants are not growing to their full capacity after changing soil from canna terra to house and garden bat mix. I have done a complete u turn back to canna it has taught me if it is not broken don't try to fix it.

I think I was unclear, the problems seems to be that I started with raw peat moss, it is too acidic. I made a stupid mistake. If I had started with better soil the "walmart grow" might have been more successful?
Mr Tang has shown that he can get great results with 75 watts of LED. I am curious to test how little nutes our plants need.
Maybe I should try coir fiber?

Nothing wrong with a Walmart grow. Want to do one. A grow that would be as if there was no way you could get quality nutrients. I still believe that it can be done with good results.
Try again and use the soil you normally use.

I've used Scott's Hyponex from Walmart with good results. Lowe's and Home Depot has better soil than Walmart

Day 11 what a difference 4 days makes. She has fully recovered and new growth has almost covered up the damaged leaves.
The only change was flushing the soil with 1000 PPM of tomato food & silicon to raise the pH of the peat moss.
