Mephisto Genetics Hubbabubba K.I.S.S. grow journal

Thanks, I am having fun!
I like growing stuff and growing Mephisto beans is especially rewarding, I have NEVER seen plants grow so fast. I have planted 4 Mephisto beans with 100% germination. 2 seedlings were donated to a friend who is doing his stubborn best to kill them. My 2 plants are documented here in my 2 grow journals.

I have 2x sour bubbling crack an elite mix seed and a super natural og on the go and like you say you drop them in and watch them go. I will have to try to get to grips with a journal soon just trying to dial my routine in then I will have fun with you good luck

Sour Crack is a delight to grow, pistils at day 17!
Compact and easy to care for, but stinky. I hope you have a carbon filter.

My Hubbabubbasmelloscope seedling just fell over. :crying:

I like top heavy girls, but they gotta be able to stand up!

The stem is just curved, not bent so it is easy to fix. I helped her stand up strait and added an extra inch of soil around the base of the stem. She should be fine

Top heavy and long legs.... go baby go!

I've had that happen a few times, that's exactly what I do and they've been fine.

Day 7 big dumb stupid mistake, the pH is too low! I flushed my peatmoss before I planted the seed because I wanted didn't want anything except the Texas Tomato Food. Well, peat moss is naturally about 4.5 pH. That is great for growing blueberry plants but very bad for Cannabis. Soil companies add alkaline stuff to get the peat moss close to 7 pH for growing general vegetables. I just realized that I washed all of that alkaline stuff out, duh! Stupid me. This plant is miserable growing in an acid bath, some nutrients are locked out.

The K.I.S.S. experiment failed, this plant would just get worse.

I mixed up a 4 liters of Texas Tomato Food and added Silicon (it is very alkaline) to boost the water up to 9.0 pH!
I slowly flushed the container and continued flushing until I got the runoff pH up to 6.8. I want it a little high to continue balancing the acidity in the peat moss.

I hope it works!
Poor little blighter

Thanks for the sympathy, I don't like to see my plants hurting. She is a good size for her age and the tiny new leaves look healthy. I think she will recover but I loose a few days of growth that can never be recovered, the clock is ticking.

I don't mind losing some yield, but I want the full Smelloscope!
