If I had my preferences I would flower w/ max temps of 75* and minimum daily temps of about 60* ... these temps for the last 3-4 weeks of flowering would probably give maximum flavor, color, and trich production ... in fact those temps would probably do a real nice job of vegging too ... I can't afford to improve my plants environment other than to blow a lot of air at them ... Last year I grew a Blue Mystic in this space at approximately these temperatures and it did not frost as much as I am accustomed to, which I attributed to heat ... The Bubblelicious today was showing early signs of frost so I would say that it remains to be seen how the heat effects the frost ... luckily I have a good USB microscope so I can watch the trichs and look for heat damage ... there's a good chance that the Silica Blast is the primary reason these plants are thriving in this heat ...
Great work chester! This type of information is great for so many growers, but especially for microgrowers that heat can definitely be an issue. Thanks for the journal!
Not much to say ... the two are nearly identical though I expect a slightly larger harvest from the Bubblelicious ... Bubbles is frosting first and drinking the most water ... by careful application I was able to get the pots to hold an added quart of water so I may not return for 4 days ... both plants were ready to be watered today but not wilted ... Used CalMag, Silica Blast, and Wet Betty ... the plants are looking a little tired but I believe they are in that part of their life cycle where they begin to neglect their leaves and put all their energy into building buds ...
