Extraction Hash. Tips, pics and whatever.

Depending on my lil nightstand grow, I may hash out half the plant (actually sounds like a SUPA GREAT IDEA), So yep decided lol
I'll have 3 different THC/CBD girls in my run. I think they will be great temple ball candidates. I think that should be some great meds!......tasty too!

I used a turkey cooking bag to make my temple balls. Worked out pretty well.

My next temple ball making, I will add the candy marble plate that I chill for collecting rosin, but heated this time to test if the extra heat will help some when using a hot wine bottle. I had two bottles with one heating all the time.
I really need to make some more. That first Temple Ball was so damn good!:woohoo:

Ooooo...thats a good idea :joy:
I've got a small slab of granite i use as a trivet, might heat that next time

thats somthing iv been thinking about doing myself using a heated stone to roll the hash on :d5:

Used about 3oz of bud and about 2oz of old trim. Bud was a bag that was left in a shopping bag. Kinda disappointing yield, but all a learning process. Maybe got about 4-7gs? Hard to put my finger on how much I actually have.

Put it all inside my weed freezer and will microplane it tommorow. Scared that if I sieve it, half my yield will get caught in the sieve lol.

Hopefully the 73u is full melt, I hardly smoke any flower anymore after corona fucked up my taste buds.

5in pizza boxes, very small ones.

First want to say thanks to all contributors of this thread as I read it all before making my own hash and everyone’s experiences they shared helped make that possible. Kind of upset I didn’t buy a dry sifter first as it seems easier to me, but I got a set of 1 gallon bubble bags for Christmas. I have done two runs, the second being more productive. I have only added 10g of trimming per run, should I up the quantity in each run? What can my 1g bags handle?
On my good run I only got .5g of all micron sizes which I blended together for ease of use. 5% return kind of sucks right? When I ran the trimmings from my blackberry the ice bath went purple!

Ive got three more small bags of trimming to run in the freezer and my wife wants them out as it’s making the ice taste like cannabis:eyebrows: so more to come soon. I don’t know how you guys make enough to get a temple balls worth!

My stuff was really melty.. no way it would go through the microplane. Sieved it and yeah half of it was in the sieve, even after scrapping it all my hardest. The 73u is super melty but the 25u was as well, maybe I could try smoking the 25u with flower? I believe the 73u will be full melt, didn't take pics cause I'm sad of the returns lolol.
The product is drying on parchment paper, inside my wine fridge at 45° and 20% humidity. Hope to try dabbing some 73u in a week from today, but don't know how long it'll take to dry

Happy New Year to everyone.

With the cold weather curbing my ability to do outside activities it gave me the time to finally make some ice water hash (bubble hash) with the last of my trim.
Did 5 washes which is the most I have done with a batch to this point. After seeing the results I will stick with 4 cylces as the 5th was very green and did not produce much.
Used 220, 160, 73 and 25 micron bags. The 220 was the mixing bag so no hash collected at that size.
Weighed it up to about 22 grams out of maybe 1 lb of trim or so. The 1st 3 washes of the 25 and 73 look real nice and I will probably spend a little more time treating it similar to what Frenchy Cannoli does.
Here are the pics.

Made a 4.2 g ball of hash from some of the 73 micron hash. Went from a golden brown to a dark brown after heat treatment. Really like kneading dough when you do this. Apply heat and roll out. Then fold back up and heat it over and over. Finally roll it up and store it like flower while burping it.
Should be ready in 3 months but may let it age longer.
