Extraction Hash. Tips, pics and whatever.

I’ll be running an experiment tomorrow and posting pictures/technique of turning green hash into a nice fairly dark colored six gram pellet...I’ll be using a “sugar paste extruder”, Amazon nine dollars & free shipping-made out of stainless steel, 200f H2O in cooking pot, Turkey oven cellophane bag, large heavy flour roller, (This was the first week I used it, but when I found some more green kief I decided to go ahead and post since that seems to be the topic of the day right now!!! Here are some of the pellets I made this week using A BLONDE thru D GREEN grade kief with the sugar extruder—

I do something quite similar, but in front of the fire. T-press & fireplace & do not screw down until the press is almost too hot to touch. Works a treat with the greener stuff.

Nice...never thought of that...I have a aluminum one, but wish I would’ve spent the extra money and got the stainless steel one...

Looks good. I've been experimenting a bit with a similar method. I have a press type unit like yours, but without threads, that I put in my vise and can clamp it with quite a bit of force. I start by putting maybe 2 grams of kief in the cylinder and then clamping it semi tight in the vise. Next I put it on top of my wood stove, which can get over 500 degrees, for a few minutes, moving and rolling it periodically to keep from overheating. I have an infrared heat gun that I can check the temp of the kief puck by removing the end cap off the press. I've been heating to about 110 degrees F. I can safely pick it up with gloves, then after a couple of minutes I'll put it in my vise and clamp it pretty hard. After a few minutes I'll press it out and have a nice puck.

Like it, that’s smart only heating up to 110° it will definitely save those Turps getting all crushed up with the oils... Well make a nice compost pile to age like a fine cheese...

Last of Mr Greenmean to press...
11.3 Gr...using

I just let it sit in hot water for 1 1/2 minutes or so, but be careful or u will liquify into oil ((Because the sugar extruder does not have a solid cap I use two inserts and some parchment paper as a seal))...Remove end cap put on parchment paper and roll with anything heavy for several minutes (I also use a heavy wood mallet that I have to crush the kief)... Now put back into press and repeat I do this three times myself & done... Now time to age for a year or so !!! Let that little compost pile do it’s thing...

I've been pressing hash coins with a Piecemaker Press. 3-4g sift, heated with a heat gun and pressed. It melts and bursts the trichomes and darkens the final product. The coins are just the right thickness to shave nice curls off of for my bubbler. View attachment 1264906

I have the Piecemaker myself, though not the embossed plate like you. Best £100 I ever spent, and that was years ago.
