A couple of Sawney Bean’s Hellraisers in desperate need of a good defoliation at day 49.

My 2 little Sawney Bean Blue Lights.
Temps in this tent have been really low and I’m a bit worried about stunted growth.

Here is something a little different that I’ve been toying around with. Never actually seen this done before but I worked it out in my head pretty well and if everything goes like it should I think it will do what I had imagined.
I call it vertical SCROG. Lol! :rolleyes1:

Set up another DIY self contained hydro unit with a 10 gallon reservoir and hung 4” metal grid vertically from the top of the tent.

Stripped her down, supercropped some of the thick main branches and flattened her out.

Same deal mate.. for the plant it doesn't matter which side you are scrogging on, as long as the light fills up the space nicely you'll grow the same amazing cola's.

Going to be fun to watch though :pop:

Other SS lady looking quite nice too man

The Panty Punch is looking fantastic 420.
An espalier weed plant, I’ve never seen nothing like it. lol Gonna be cool.
Thanks Rick!
I didn’t know there was an actual term in the English dictionary that described what I was doing until now. Lol!
Learn something new everyday. :rolleyes1:

Appreciate the input Antonio. :thanks:
I was imagining it would be similar to a horizontal scrog but a little different with the plant growing the way it is and the light hitting it from the side. Only big difference that I can see and possibly giving me a problem with are the stems not being able to support the colas that are growing horizontal towards the light. If that becomes an issue I’m planning on hanging a 3” nylon net in front of the metal grid to drape the colas over for extra support and hope that solves the problem.
Only time will tell. :nono:

So far so good!
Been battling cold temperatures in my garage where I have a few of my tents and noticing some slight deficiencies from the low temps although everything seems to be doing ok for now. The little electric heater I’m currently using in the there is keeping the temps slightly above 70F but I really don’t like burning the extra juice to heat the space up. :nono:
My Seedstockers Panty Punch and Sawney Bean Hellraisers received their last heavy defoliation a week ago and they’re now just starting their bulking phase, and my Sawney Bean Blue Lights are close to being done but I’m going to give them an extra 10 days to finish up.

Here is a Autoseeds.com Acapulco Gold growing in a 2x2” tent with a 150 watt Maxisun quantum board hanging above. She’s about 64 days old and just got her second leaf strip a few days ago. Had some slow growth due to the cold temps in my garage and she didn't quite fill in the tent from wall to wall but has plenty of strong nodes gearing up to make some nice colas.

These are plants I started at the same time as the others but ran out of room so I’m growing them naturally and planning on comparing the yield to the scrogged plants. These naturally grown plants only had their main top bent over for 12 days and were schwazzed twice.
