Outdoor Growing Oak trees with Watermelons in Michigan

I'm hoping to have a good problem come fall n have too much to trim ! I'm still smoking on last years outdoor but it's running low growing the autoflowers inside definitely helped get through the year without having to buy any this year.

Watching this thread till harvest for sure!
:nicethread:

Dreaming big this year for sure. I'm going to try n put years of experience ,learning n studying to the test n use everything I got . I have had luck in the past n have grown huge plants but this year out in full sun with a real plan n maximum efforts I am hoping for a huge harvest.

The last 6 days have been beautiful in lower Michigan. Nights are getting into the high 40's to mid 50's and the days are in the mid 70's. Lots of stretching going on out in the garden which I like due to the temp swings from day and night.Out doors I use several techniques for neutrients. Throughout the fall and winter I compost in my grow pen preparing the soil for the summer as like a base neut. I like to plant directly into the soil outside but I also mix in my used grow medium from my indoor grows and till it in. I think that planting directly into the earths soil really helps give me the taste of Michigan I really like which is almost like a musk for marijuana it gives it a certain dankness you just cant get any way else. But also I use used coffee grounds all grow long and I like to brew teas using banana peals potato skins and crushed egg shells. I also treat a few times throughout the summer using Happy frog fruit and flower dry organic neuts and during the bud cycle I hit them extremely hard with CHA CHING 9-50-10 for essential oils which usually ill get a little burn from this but it turns my buds into gooie swelled nugs. I like to let the grass and weeds grow up in my grow cage and use them for like a cover crop also.
ACDC CBD #!- is 10 1/2 inches tall and topped 2 days ago 47 days old
#2- 10 3/4 inches tall and topped 47 days old
#3- is 23 inches tall topped many times and is under LST using the cage to bush her out more 82 days old
C99 [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] - 3 inches tall and a runt but growth has started again 2 and a half weeks after transplant outside she may have a pest issue. 45 days old
[HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] - 8 inches tall I havent topped her yet but soon will growing strong. 46 days old
O.G. Kush #1- 47 days old 9 inches tall and topped 2 days ago. Growing strong
#2- 8 inches tall 46 days old not topped yet
Honeysuckle #1- 8 1/2 inches tall and topped 47 days old
#2- 47 days old 7 inches tall not topped
[HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] 6 3/4 inches tall 45 days old not topped and is what Im calling a special pheno because her leafs have this jaggid narly look to them
[HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] 31 days old 8 3/4 inches tall and topped. She has some 9 and 10 bladed leafs on her and could possibly be a male not sure yet on this one but her growth and physical appearance so far resembles a male to me. Ill keep an eye on this one but this could be my seed stock creator for next year!
The AK 47 auto I put out is finished up and took her down yesterday. Not sure what was up with this plant but the buds never really got big I have a shit ton of thumb sized buds all over this plant. She felt heavy when I cut her down but looks like a crap ton of trimming for maybe 2 oz's. So I replaced plant [HASHTAG]#12[/HASHTAG] with a Banana Kush Autoflower that is now 18 days old and planted her in the ground yesterday.

I'm so jealous of you guys that can grow outdoors without having to sneak in and carrying fertilizer and pruners in a backpack. Someday man, someday.

Great looking plants brother, I'm stoked to watch this play out.

The outdoor grow is definitely a patience game its a 7 month endurance race that can b a waste of a complete year or can reward you with impossible amounts of medicine! I got the seven dust out and I planted a bunch of citronella plants today bug control is on the agenda for this early summer Ive been keeping the grass cut short around my grow pen in hopes of keeping pests down this year. I spray around the cage with neem oil solution I dont really put anything inside the cage with my plants though I just try to make a perimeter around it to keep stuff out I dont want any of that crap on or even in my dirt im growing in. I got some bat houses I hung a couple years ago down by my grow and their are several bats that come out at night around my yard that do their part. We have a ton of lady bugs and preying mantis around here that seem to come in and help out as well. In the past rain and pests have been my biggest issues. Ive got a tarp for early fall during bud season to help out with the rain issue and Im hoping all of my other maximum efforts will take care of the rest of it leaving just time!

I'd definitely put some diatomaceous earth down around the base of the stems, that stuff is hell on caterpillars and other unwanted creepy crawlers.

Damn man! Upper Peninsula grower here. We can't get away with planting outdoor this early. But I'm running 12 in a greenhouse this summer I'll be popping seeds in a few weeks tho.

The rest of em I cant tell who is who in the pics multiple shots of each of the 12 in the 2 posts. The small c99 is getting attacked for some reason bye something but I guess if it leaves the other 11 alone it's ok. I'm hoping I got whatever it is under control now.
