New Grower Gratefully green husband

:yeahthat: What @archie gemmill said. The tip burn is from too high nutrients but is minor in your pictures. Most likely the starting soil mix was too hot. Back off on your nutes 10%. Light burn starts on the top of the plant and moves down from there.

no they might curl up a bit n buds go white.a leaf tip sat on soil could look the same.a lil tip burn is just a warning sign to back off the nutes next feeding.
keep it simple stupid...less is more...the less you do,the less can go wrong..:pass:
:pighug:
Thanks @archie gemmill @Mañ'O'Green only issue is I don't add nutes to my water. I am using organically amended coco. The water has about 45 ppm Ca/Mg in it. What other deficiencies cause brown tips?

Not a deficiency in my opinion, roots may have hit a hot spot in the coco. Are they the same today?

Not a deficiency too much Nitrogen most of the time is the cause for tip burn. But don't worry about it now just keep your eye on the new growth.

I am not sure what you mean by organically amended coco? eventually coco will need nutrients unless you mean soil lightly amended with coco?

A bit of an odd grow style Man o G this is the coco grow with soil ammendments mixed in.
Some ammendments are fast release some slow release.thing is we dont know what and when.
Could be just a tad hot at the moment.if just feeding plain water and a bit of calmag.

Thanks for taking the time to reply @archie gemmill @Mañ'O'Green @Dudeski It is an odd grow style I admit, so I guess it will also be a learning process to see how everything works together, if I can get it all working well or not we will see. I am definitely learning a lot. The new growth all comes in nice and clean, no immediate leaf tip browning or anything. Now there is one plant that real hasn't shown any browning of the tips except oldest leaves. So, I'm sure y'all are right about the nitrogen, just seems to have affected 3 of the 4. Coincidence, probably except the WCOG doesn't have the same mix and it has shown the most brown. I'll be keeping an eye out . I even raised my lights back up because I don't know the signs of light stress. I guess I can start lowering the light again because I want to push the plants a little. I put it back at 4' 6", I had it as close as 3'. Watering has been another learning process. I started watering every day, just a little, for about 4 days, and come to think of it that could be when I first started noticing the brown tips. I'll go back and look at my notes and charts again and compare. But, my moisture probe is reading in the green deep down so I backed off on watering because they don't seem to be thirsty. They wake up limp and tend to pick themselves up throughout the day and continue to pray. I know I just need to just sit back and observe and learn 'How My Garden Grows', sounds like the title of a book, but its hard not to do things. But I guess I have to do that too, do things, see what happens and evaluate. Just try not to kill 'em.

Week 4, Day 28 for Florence the FastBuds WCOG that germinated the week of hurricane Florence and just survived another hurricane sweeping through and losing power this time around.

I got a little Indica bush going here. Should I cut some of these big fan leafs and open her up a little bit? The internodal length is tight maybe an inch apart and I have been doing some leaf tucking only. I am counting about 12 branches poking through the canopy.

Day 17 for the Sensible Seeds OG Kush. All are doing well. Some brown tips on a couple, nothing major. They are bulking up and seem really healthy. [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] just keeps going, [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] has a leaf deformity on one side and it may be slowing her down a little because [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] was the runt from its slow start but she has now caught [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] and is looking more robust (technically [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] is about 24 hours behind 1 and 2).

plants do droop and go to sleep at lights off, some can stay droopy for a few hours after, others wake up straight away.the odd time a plant will know when lights off is,and will start to droop just before lights off.depends on strain/pheno.same as a strain can be fussy or sensitive to light, nutes, temps.we just looking for a happy medium,4 plants if 3 is ok and 1 is iffy, chances are its just sensitive,if the others are treated and getting the same feeds etc.
on the whole they looking pretty good
