Mephisto Genetics Grape Crinkle....bring it on!

Well Bunz, I hate to tell you this but if you are expecting that pretty little girl to behave herself and stop stretching about 2 weeks after she declares sex, you are probably going to be disappointed.

In Bubble buckets, they just keep on stretching. Or at least that was my experience when I tried it. They get BIG and they get there FAST.

If you're short on room; it get's real scary.
It looks like you've got a wild child on your hands... :yoinks:

I am expecting to have to deal with running out of room and her getting into the lights. Over the last week she has gotten big enough in my cabinet that she is starting to be able to control the atmosphere herself i.e. the humidity is at about 50% now and overall temps are lower.

Just a little day 37 early baby bud porn......

This bitch is a monster that I can't control!!!!!! She is only a couple of inches from the lights and doesn't seem to want to stop. She is as wide as a truck too! Flowers are coming in nicely and I was able to get a picture last night that showed frost already forming on the leaves around bud sites! Truly an amazing plant.....

.........DWC For The Win!

I think we are on Day 42'ish. I broke out the tape measure and she is 31" tall(787.4mm) and taking up every inch of my 23"wide by 35"long grow cabinet. I trimmed out a plastic shopping bag worth of leaves to try and open up her to.She is just so out of control. I wish I had twice the grow area for her to spread out in. Needless to say I will be holding off growing anymore of her sisters till I do. I have started to add GH's KoolBloom to her feed schedule yesterday. Safe to say she has at least 30 days left to go. Love it!!!

Take it for what it's worth....this will be only my 3rd DWC grow and I have never used anything other than these HTG Rhizocore bucket tops/net pots but I really believe they have helped me with my grows. This plant is only 5 days from sprout and her tap root is well over 12"(30cm)long. I feel not having to spend her first several days fighting through a media base gives me a little of a jump start. Solution level was brought up to the bottom of the net pot today and PPM adjusted to 140.

lol this right here, damn those pots are bonkers. I'm really liking the diy light too. How much did you spend on the heat sink? I plan to convert my og mars 300 at some point too and the heat sink is the only piece I so wish I didn't have to buy lol.

Thanks Anasazi! The heat sink I used on this fixture was left over from an old saltwater reef tank project I did few years ago. I don't remember how much I paid for it. Though I did just buy a couple other heat sinks to build my next COB fixture. It is the 4.85" wide heat sink from HeatsinkUSA. Seems it is what everyone uses and it's only .98cent per inch and you would only need 15" or so for 2 Cree cxb3950 COBs if using cooling fan(s).

Day_43. I just couldn't leave well enough alone and I had to get her out of the cabinet to get a better look at her and to see if I couldn't do something else to move the lights up. I drained the bucket and layed her over carefully and was able to get her out. I was really worried about getting her back in. She is a lot bigger than I thought. Her main cola was burnt at the very top as I believe it was right up on one of the cxb3590 COB's. I was rather surprised that other than the one cola being damaged a little there was only a hint of stress on her very top leaves from being that close to the lights. No signs of Cal/Mag issues like I have had on all of my last grows(soil included). Being able to get my hands all over her I trimmed out a lot more leaves and small lower branches that would be small popcorn buds. I trimmed out a lot of higher fan leaves to help open up her canopy to get light deeper into the plant and to help with air circulation. I was able to move both light fixtures up another couple of inches at most.

I was really amazed at how much trichromes are already forming and how far out they extend on some of the fan leaves. She does not have much for a smell yet. But what she does have is sort of lemon like smell.
