Mephisto Genetics Grape Crinkle....bring it on!

Well fellow Mephisto heads I am sad to report I had to chop this plant down! She is just to big for my grow cabinet. I know she will only be getting bigger and for fear of her getting out of hand I figured it would just be better for me to give up DWC/hydro until I have a larger grow area. I guess I will just go back to soil grows because at least I didn't have to worry about the plants running out of room with soil.

This girl is going nuts! I would never ever go back to soil. Today marks day 32. I did her second bucket change today and left her at 860PPM. This whole myth of endless rez/bucket changes is just crazy. Most likely her next and last bucket change will be at flush time. She is up to 20" tall and a whopping 29" wide! Looking over her tops I can tell she is going to really start her bloom stride over the next few days so with that in mind when I did my bucket change it was to my bloom schedule.

No pictures on this update sadly. Sitting on day 35 she has shot up about 3 inches since Wednesday and well over 30 inches wide. I was able to move my lights as far up as I could this morning and realized she will not be coming out of the cabinet again till chop time. Flowering is now under way and I will have some nice bud porn shots next week I think. I trimmed out a number of lower branches that I know will never get enough light. Better off using that energy for the upper colas. I don't think I will be braking any of my own records with her given her structure at this point but she is going to be big and she sure is smelly already...though no grapey smell as of yet. I stopped using the GROW portion of the nutes a few days ago and am only giving her MICRO, BLOOM and Cal/Mag. I don't think I will use Silica for the rest of the grow either.

Both the MarsHydro 300w old model and my DIY 100w cxb3590 COB LED fixture are up over her head now. I have the COB fixture dimmed back a little and according to my WATT meter I am running 260w total betwen the two lights.
