Thanks for your reply. I’ve also heard that too !! When I planted seed the pot was fully saturated, with 3 litres which caused a lil runoff. I sprayed the top down first week and slowly increasing the watering up til 1.5litres recently and I do plan to water until slight run off in the near future I just ment as for now I’ll stick to the 1.5litres if I’m wrong in doing this I’d like some advice also ? Should I water until runoff now I don’t know how much of the pot the roots have taken yet ? Hence the slow increase ?
Thats really up to you. The big issue for seedlings in the first few weeks is over or under watering. Its very easy to over water, and its just as easy to underwater because you are worried about over watering!
You don't want your seedlings sitting in water, it will cause rot.
I think a good rule of thumb is to water every 4-5 days heavily, until the plants are about a month old. In between that, I mix up some foliar spray and give them a good spritzing every day along with the surface of the soil to help keep humidity up.
Once my plants are a month old, I water until runoff every day.
