New Grower Germinating tips for a first time grow!

Just two but you can throw in anything you think should be in there.

1. Soak en and put on damp paper towel then plant when tap root tail shows. (soaker)

2. Use a Jiffy puck (pucker)

atpView attachment 68510, your way is as good as any~! i soak 12hours right in to a damp, not wet jiffy pellet in a brownie bake pan with lid on a heating pad with a 6500k cView attachment 68509fl shining through thru the translucent lid. when the first leaves show i transplant to the tierd party cups then when root shows right to 3 gal pots.View attachment 68508forgot, mist them every now and again. a little moisture on inside of lid shows that humidity is good.

If that is with fresh seed that is for sure what I would do. I like Jiffy pucks better than their pellets, Nothing else is necessary. Four year old seed is a different matter I would soak it. The older the seed the lower the hatch rate just like tomato or pepper seeds.

So, if Im getting this right, just take the seed and put it straight to the jiffy pellet? No soaking, or paper towel needed?

Do you just lay the seed on top of the pellet? Not like in the center hole?

Thats fuckin funny nelson,That reminds me when i was younger and i was totaly messed up smokin and drinking wine back in 1969.I had to piss so bad one time and my zipper stuck and I pissed myself silly and watched my friends almost piss themself laughing so hard, I miss those days.

I once went to a tribute band concert for bands who were Gratefull Dead tribute bands. I was doing the sound and getting fairly bored cause how many times can you hear Trucken without getting to really losing it. We were taking a lunch break and this girl came up to me and asked if I wanted to go and smoke a joint with her. Of course smoking a joint was just a thinly vieled request to go into the woods and have some sex.

I returned back to the board and my friend from Montreal came upto me and told me about this girl who asked him to go smoke a joint with him. When he got away from the campsite he asked her. "So wheres the joint" she said she didn't have one. He was wicked pissed off and turned around and left. My friend doesn't get laid much. I wonder why?

I miss these old days also. No aids just fun. Birth control pills no condoms. So much better. I used to bring my own grass and hash and it helped to make the mixing fun even when the bands were not much fun. Yaahhhooo.

I have always soaked mine and did the paper towels and i have had good success.Either this or the pellets should work and only a little experiance will dictate what you choose in the future.

From a completely FNG perspective, I used the 24 hour soak-in-water technique and all but 2 popped in 24, then I finished those off in the paper towel. If I can go 7/7 for my first grow, then by jove, guv'nuh, I think that technique is pretty sound. Since it worked so effectively the first time around, that is what I will continue to do.

Everyone should choose the method that works best for them. My method of Jiffy pucks works well also. Not a hundred % but I'never sure if it is the seeds or the method. I am glad to see good success no mater what the method. I will be sticking to my cubes.
