New Grower G14 and AKR

@FullAuto245 Curious do you half to worry about ppms more with coco? Just wondering cause my ppms are prob terrible on city water. I want to eventually switch to coco or hydro but wouldn't be able to do hydro till I move unless I wanna mess with installing and uninstalling an under the sink system just for a short period of time.

I just hope ts fixed before the plant/buds suffer too much. I am gonna switch to coco. soil for me is too hard to comey without unreasonable shipping. @FullAuto245 how much did your coco come with how many pots filled?

Ya if you use tap water. I found that out the hard way lol. My tap water is 350 ppm and I was over feeding ended up creating issues with lock out. My ppm was around 1500-2000 which is flirting with lockout. So periodically flushing would have helped me keep them in range. Now I know just to check the ppm and it should be what your putting in. So 500 ppm in you should see 500 or close coming out in the runoff.

Boog the reason I say not to just water next time with a ph of 8 and correct me if someone has more knowledge on this but when you water like you did with a ph of 8 your runoff isn't going to show you instant results the soil is most likely going to need time to work with what you gave it the "buffering" aspect of soil so what makes sense to me is it's not going to show till your next water runoff I think that is why they say to do a little at a time with the ph changes. Looks like the coco is around the same price as the roots organics online unfortunately so would still half to drive for it cause I won't be seen around town toting dirt. Hydro may just be the best option for me.

Amazon has some cheaper coco by the brick you just have to prep it and add perlite.

Yeah if you want to add your own blend of nutes premade soil isn't your best option, these soils are practically supersoils especially fox farms, the manufacturers won't tell you this cause most sell nutes too but there are people that grow autos in fox farm soil with no nutes at all the entire grow and do fine same with my soil and honestly my first plants did better with min nutes. For you coco would be better anyway like you said hard to get soil in your area.
Mine showed deficiency after 23 days with my first 2 I just harvested without nutrients other than a microbial feed to keep bacteria going. Tried going to week 4 before adding any and it just didn't work. Not sure if its the batch of soil I got or if fox farms has just gotten worse over the years.
