Indoor Frogster Autopot Grow:- Auto Blackberry Kush & Auto Mazar

Looking great bro and those nutes sounds great well worth a try

Cheers Bro... Yep, I have made up my mind... I think I am gonna give them a go. They do a whole load of stuff...

Day 9

As a test, I left the Airdomes switched on for the last 12 Hours to see if there is a problem giving the plants extra air this early in their life.

The Air pump is a powerful one, a Hailea V20 Air pump - it delivers 1200 Ltrs of air per hour (split to the 5 pots that's around 240 Lts of air per hour, per pot). The Nutrient Res is still turned off at present.

To my eye, (and maybe I am looking with a bit of a bias slant) they look very, very happy.... praying and growing....

The 1st, Auto Blackberry Kush, has shown the biggest difference, but her roots will be bigger (she is the biggest plant - but that may change with the Auto Mazar reputed to be "one to watch").

Day 9 ABK1.jpg

All 5 plants look happy with the extra air, and are showing extra growth. I am going to leave the Airdomes on during lights on from now on.

Day 9 Tent.jpg

Overall effect on the grow-room environment is negligible... I checked the log for the last 12 Hrs of running and it remained as set 27.5 Degrees (at canopy height) and 50% RH, spot on.

Day 9 Chart.jpg

So, all looking good for day 9...... Check back later.... :headbang:

(Skipped Day 10, as nothing to report.... apart from the introduction of a Mars Hydro (old style) LED 600W to the tent - (before you say - Whoaaa too much light - read on)

Day 11

Today we hand watered and checked the babies over.... They seem to be doing fine. Autopots still not turned on yet, Airdomes running with light cycle - full bore.

They will continue with some "supplemental" LED as 45* side fill. My theory is the additional light and it being LED - will keep tight node space at the lower end of the plant, allowing for full LST opportunities.

Even with 1000+ watts of light, the Humidity is running and holding stable at 60%RH and 27.5c Temp. Lights and humidifier run 20/04.

Here is the tent line up for now... All Dutch Passion, All Auto (All pics taken with tent lights on):-

Day11 Tent.jpg

  • Front row (Left) Mazar 11 Day, (Right) Blackberry Kush 11 Day
  • Middle Row Blackberry Kush 9 Day
  • Back Row (Left) Mazar 6 Day(ish) Night Queen 5 Day(ish)

For only 11 Days old, I think The Blackberry Kush is doing well, nice node development.

That's about it for now, no changes due .... just lots of TLC over the next few days and then the next big one to look forward to, is turning the Autopots on.

I decided on the nutrients and purchased yesterday, so will update when I get them, maybe tomorrow.

:vibes:

Day 12

Today I woke to a small problem....

Yesterday I filled the Nutrient Res with water and a few additives. The plan was to let it sit in the Res for 2 or 3 more days and keep an eye on PH etc, before turning it on.

I must have somehow managed to disconnect my feed line from the Nutrient Res and overnight it dumped 50 Ltrs all over the floor.

Not a big problem as it is a concrete floor in an outbuilding.... Oh Well, if that's the biggest problem I encounter then I am good!

Here is my choice of Nutrients for this grow project, new to me, but have been highly recommended by a couple of local growers.

The nutrients are supplied custom "Pre adjusted" to my regional tap water by Ferro - so minimal PH adjustments needed.... (or so the company advertise) good huh?.
Grow 2 Nutrients.jpg

I had to take the Girls out of the tent for the spillage cleanup.... so I snapped a few pics outdoors of two of them, in natural light.

I am very impressed by the growth in 12 days, the air has been on for 3 days now (they love it), The autopot watering system will be turned on in another few days.

LED lights will be turned off today, they have had 48Hrs to compact the node space, they may get other blips of LED as required. Just a 600w 400v HPS now.

They seem to like whatever I throw at them.

Good fun this experimental lark....

DAY 13

Yep thanks Bro.... exciting times indeed, 2 pots turned on today.... more tomorrow I think, maybe I'll turn the rest on as well, it will make it easier and they will catch up.

No feed in the res yet, (still plenty in the soil), just a few additives, enzyme enhancer stuff, and PH'd at 6.5

Noticed a bit of leaf curl on both the Mazar plants, Strange how it is just these two plants?

Day 13 AM1.jpg

Day 13 AM2.jpg

(all the other strains look fine)
checked the temps, no hot spots, air movement and RH, all look OK.

Holding steady (chart for the last 12 Hrs)... Avg 27.25 Temp, and around 50%RH daytime, with a little drift of a few %

Pretty normal really... (apart from when I interfere with the tent - like the spike at the end of the chart below, checking the plants and taking these pics with the tent door open).
Day 13 Chart.jpg

So I will wait and see if she drinks from the Res and what effect that has. I am not unduly worried at this point, as all the data says it's fine, but I'm watching it.

Every strain has it's own likes/dislikes.... maybe Mazar has a few more?

Any advice, thoughts, suggestions or ideas are welcomed.... especially from peeps who have grown "Dutch Passion Auto Mazar" before.

Tagging @DutchPassionTony for some advice.

Thanks
