New Grower First timer, Mephisto’s Grapey Walter

Hello, good afternoon, everything is looking great. I did notice some dis coloration in my fan leaves on Grapey Walter. All about the middle level of the plant.

Thinking Mag fed, just strange the location in the plant, there’s 4 or 5 fan leaves in the middle of the plant

I know nothing about this but from this, which I presume you have already seen, it does appear so.

This why I prefer hydro, even though I see fantastic results from others in soil. It looks like mag, but then I wonder, or is it lockout, what if I put more salts in and it wasn't and on and on. I'm already having enough trouble trying to decide exactly when and where to defoliate. At least with hydro, I know there are no salt build ups and I can directly inspect the roots and even if there is a nutrient imbalance that will be corrected at the next change. I'm just giving my reasoning, I'm not telling you what you should do, I'm just sharing my thoughts.

Well, here’s what I’ve found, I’m quite certain it is a mag def, with MegaCrop I will fix it by upping the dosage. With Autos we obviously don’t want to go all full strength and at the begining, and I’m about 1 week into flowering and still using the same 2g/gallon I’ve used. Day 37 for Grapey Walter and 29 for Sour Livers x 3 Bears OG. She is becoming a bushy girl. I will stick to the same feeding regiment for her as well, and probably up her to 3g per gallon.

Please continue to share! Learning new ways to grow is exciting. I’d like to give hydro a try some time, most people say it’s pretty easy.

When it comes time you are better building it yourself, it's super easy. I don't like the full deep water culture, straight out of the little 4" basket directly into the water. I like the roots to have some air. When the time comes if you want some advice on my idea of a shallow water culture and roots exposed to lots of air, let me know.

I recently found the most well designed pots that fit into each other in various ways, that have encouraged me to turn them into a shallow water culture. If you're interested I'll post some pic of what I'm gonna do.

Edit, I just remembered I explained it with pics in my thread, https://www.autoflower.org/threads/first-auto-after-22-year-break.67641/page-6#post-1920905

Day 41 for Grapey Walter, she is getting very frosty. Day 34ish for Sour Livers x 3BOG. She looks like she will probably get bigger than my GW. MegaCrop is kicking ass. Keeping my Ph around 6.5 ish, 3 grams of Mega Crop per gallon. Roughly 1 gram of Bud Explosion and 1 gram of sweet candy per gallon for both the big girls. My Ghost Toof is still recovering from the bite burnt very early on. On to the photos for your viewing pleasure. Ohh yea I did a thing, I ordered more Mephisto:) Strawberry Nuggets, and Deez Nuggz. Really excited to try both strains
