@RaeRizzle420 the way you have your cfl's positioned....Most light comes from the side of the cfl. More heat from the top. If you were to reposition them, you would benefit more.
Yeah, to be honest...you might be better off wiring them separately with a makeshift reflector. Once the girls get some size, you are gonna want to move them around quite a bit.I tried putting them to the side.. but there on a shower curtain rod.. so I can't keep them sideways.. they keep moving back to the same position.. I'm going to try and brace them some way.. so they won't reposition themselves when I turn them.. I want to add a split so I can add a few more bulbs later on.. want to make sure I'm getting the most out of my bulbs..
I'll try and make something work.. when u say individual.. could you show me a pic somehow..?Yeah, to be honest...you might be better off wiring them separately with a makeshift reflector. Once the girls get some size, you are gonna want to move them around quite a bit.
I used some cfl's my first grow. I wired each one to their own cord and made reflectors out of small pots, that I cut. I wish I had some pics of them. They worked great.
It took some digging but I mustered up a couple photos.I'll try and make something work.. when u say individual.. could you show me a pic somehow..?
im just limited on space id love to do this tho..It took some digging but I mustered up a couple photos.
This was before I learned about laying them sideways. But, you can get the gist of it, anyway.

I used reflective duct tape for the inside. Just stuff I had, on hand.
hope this helps
Well i DIYED.. that problem i took some extra string and tied the lights up to hang horizontal.. also added a little mylar around the pot to add light underneath looking to get some light strips for my side walls i can put up.. also tried some (LST)..lol.. going to see how that goes read a little into it.. going to find a little more info about it to really get the best result from it..Wow! Looking great!!! You look to be a day ahead of me. My leaves also had/have a slight wave to them. For keeping your lights in place on a shower rod, what about wrapping the rod with tape to keep them from sliding or shimmying around? Looking great!
Edit: @Yeatster - thanks for the tip about CFL directionality in regards to hear/lighting ratios!
Thats creativityIt took some digging but I mustered up a couple photos.
