New Grower First Time Grower

Its exciting coming home being gone all day checking on them or waking up and just seeing something ive done taking off.. its awesome@RaeRizzle420 Always cool to see someone get that first sprout up and get their "grower cherry" popped. Have a great growand start your AFN journey! Welcome
I agree and still after doing it for a year it is one of the cooler things to know you are on you're way.

@RaeRizzle420 just wait a few weeks and things get crazy fun! Everyday you open the tent you will start to be amazed at how fast they grow and the changes to them daily. You're on your way man! Keep it up!
i do have a quick question @Santorini how often should i water.. im soo scared that i might over water.. i check my seedlings after work.. around 10pm central time and 7am when i wake up.. i use the finger in the dirt method.. going all the way down to my first knuckle.. and its dry damp if you get what im saying..

Few questions (I'm no genius either) Haha
How much have you watered so far?
Did you water the soil before planting?
Do you keep a dome over them at all?
I usually water the soil until 10% runoff 12 hours before I plant the seed
with the taproot in the pot. Then it is usually day 5-6 before I do my first
"real" watering again.
After about a day the soil will start to be dry to the eye. At that point I mist
the soil each day; a few times.. maybe 10-15 mist total each time. I spray all
around the pot and maybe 3-4 squirts around the trunk.
I usually do this until day 5 above ground.
At day 5-6 depending on how the light my pot is, I grab a gallon soda bottle, cut
it in half and place it over the plant. I then slowly pour the water on top of the bottle
and it creates a nice ring around the plant a few inches all the way around so the roots
have to search for water. .
After that I usually water every 3-5 days doing the dirt / knuckle method and feeling the pot.
If you have an extra pot lying around and some more soil, fill it up and throw it in the corner
to judge how light your pot is when it has no water will help.
After your first grow you should be able to read your plant, feel your pot and you will know when it needs water.
Unfortunately with watering (as I've learned) experience is the best teacher in this department.

Ive watered everyday.. misting about 10-13times..everytime i felt the soil.. i did water the soil on my 2nd plant but not my first.. i do not keep a dome over them.. should I..?... it will be day 3 day above ground for my first plant.. and 2 days for my 2nd.. ill try the soda bottle idea.. and thanks again for the feedback.. this site and the people here are awesome..
update: girls are looking good..going out today and try and find some root stimulate day 6 for plant [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] mystery mary.. and day 4 for blueberry jane.. ill take pics next watering cycle..
I hold my camera and phones horizontally or landscape to take pics taking them vertically they come out like this I hate how my I pad rotates the screen when I try to look can't get away from sideways pics lol

Does everyone know that CFL bulbs will no longer be available in around a year.
They are pulling them replacing with led I like to use them to vegg extra plants with I'm going to stock up on them.
The manger at Lowe's told me so I bought a few packs and will till I can't get them anymore.
