hello im planing my first grow period much less my first AF grow but since thier intro i knew if i grew it would be this. im awaiting nirvana short ryder fems. since im new and already asked muddy. im going to go for just two plants. indoors in my house. these first two i might do wo a box or tent. but if i can make something cheap like the rubbermaid i saw on here (any reccomendations). for lights i thought about was if two of these per plant would be sufficent Sunlite SL105/30K/MED/120V (105W CFL Grow Light Bulb Med 3000K), or can i use a normal cfl rated the same way just not a grow catergory buld? if i can get biobizz all mix thats wht i intend to use if not the FF of course is my next choice. also using FF nutes. two 3 gal planters(need a good place to pick these up i have no clue what works well for AF). feel free to chime in or suggest anything. ive done some reading but of course you all know from experience got fingers crossed. o light sched im going to run is 20/4

hey bud, first off i wana say i have no idea what the rubbermaid is but i have an idea of what it could be, and i just saw on a grow journal that someone used a carboard closet and put up some space blankets for reflective sheeting and put ia computer fan for ventilation and he seems to be having good results. i would tell you the name of the journal but im a bit medicated right now and cant remember lol. but to answer a few of your questions,

you can use that lightbulb yes, but i would not recommend using that lightbulb for the vegetative stage of the plant. they seem to veg better under cfl around 6500k and up. because autos have such a short vegetative stage i would recommend doing the most you can to grow it as big as you can, and then when they start to flower switch back to the light you put in the link. but ofcourse if funds is an issue i dont know what to tell you because i dont how well the plants would grow under any one type of light.

however you dont have to use those lights, you can always just buy a bunch of smaller cfls and use those, and i would even recommend that because you can move them under the plant and in those hard to reach places, however you are growing a short ryder so you may not have a problem lol i cant think of anything else to add so i will say good luck on your grow and hopefully some other people will chime in and help you out! peace out

If I had my setup to do over again I'd def look into a tent. The cardboard box sounds like a fire hazard to me, not to mention spilled water and such.

Ya I agree with Savoy, I mean if you are on a pretty tight budget then a home made box might be a little better but I am still kicking myself for not just buying a tent at first because I ended up spending over $50 dollars on my box anyways so for the extra cash things could have been a little cleaner. I would maybe do the rubbermaid box as a seed starter because you can fit a lot in their and you can make a decent one for 40 bucks. Check out the DIY forum for ideas, If you want I can post pictures of my grow box that i made for $50. good luck.. peace out

Hello to you and welcome to this fantastic site. Congratulations on your first grow and for going with autoflowering cannabis. I'm also doing my first ever indoor grow, 1 Himalayan Blue Diesel and 2 other photoperiods from clone. I invested in a tent (from Amazon of all places) a very well built tent of reflective mylar NOT PVC. 4'x4'x7' with frame work and extra bars for lights, fans, etc. 6 round vents of varying sizes, 4 bottom slot vents, just lottsa wazoo stuff and by Christ if in MY opinion it isn't the best thing I could do for indoors. And the entire thing + shipped to my door for under $140 bucks. Company called "Earth Works". But maybe if you got the jingle, look around the world wide web and you may find even better a deal. Remeber this is the tent only, no light , ballast, etc. Very quick and easy to put together, a snap to keep clean throughout the grow, very reflective. Discreet and easy to pack up and move to another room or another town as necessity dictates. After harvest, doubles as a drying bay and then a curing room. Anyways... welcome, good luck with your grow. Good people around this site...real different vibe. Post yer babies when you can!
Puff, puff, pass!
