Hey everyone, this is my first real post and I am new to growing for the most part. I've been reading stickys and journals etc on here for about a month now and have learned a lot. I didn't want to post at first however after seeing how people are here and getting a warm welcome I've decided to share. I am already on day 25 of my grow, I've had very little problems so far but found the answers to ones I had by reading a lot from people on this site. I guess I will start by posting pics and listing equip and such. Keep in mind, for the most part this is prob a hack set up, I realize I have a long way to go and should have done quite a few things differently.
Ok, so I built my grow room, I live down south where temp and humidity tend to be high but I was not allowed to do anything in the house
The room is 4'x8'x7'tall and was framed with 2x4 and covered with r-matt foam polyboard used for heat insulation, it's also reflective on one side. I didn't know how many options were out there and I was on a tight budget, cost all of about $126 to build. I do have a lot of tweaking later though, mostly just adding another fan to help with heat when temps get back up to norm for this area. I have 1-6" fan 250cfm going out and 6" fan pulling air in but is only 50cfm, although most of the time I keep the door open so thats not needed that much just yet. I purchased an 600w HID w/Mh & HPS, prob shouldn't have but from what I used to know that's how people did it. I am usingOF soil mixed with about an extra 15-20% perlite, no veg nutes, in a 3g pot, although I did start them in dixie cups like I would have with non autos, won't do that again, I just cut the bottom of cup off and transplanted em about 2 weeks in. I do think I stunted them early, my temps got real high for 2 or 3 of the nights with door closed before my 6" inline came and it reached 93deg. My humidity has been between 60-80% steady, colder weather coming I'm not worried, but I will be come summer again. I have been using RO water with ph of between 6.3 and 6.7 with a little hydrogen peroxide, I'm just starting to add a lil big bloom, and will add molasses about day 35-40. I've ran my lights 24/0 till about day 20 now they're on 20/4, will go to 18/6 around day 35 as well. The Cream Caramel and WW have shown sex since about day 18, however the NL still hasn't shown any signs of sex, not worried though, hear it could take up to 28-30 days for some. They do seem a little small compared to other posts, but maybe it's just me. I am having a little problem with my leaves being eaten, I think I found the culprit, took pic, looks like a small lil worm or something, black, looks to have a strip on it, could be numerous culprits, but one wasn't very lucky. Ok, I don't know what else to put right now, if anyone has experience with any of these strains I'd love to hear about it, also not sure if same strain seeds vary depending on seed bank, but I got mine from Bonza Seeds. Oh, I'm also trying a lil LST on one, just the cream caramel, the Nl is 15" as of this morning, the CC is about the same and the WW is about 13" I also just switched from Mh to HPS yesterday, some say to switch after showing sex, some say wait till 6 weeks, well according to Bonzas website the CC should be done in 7 weeks, although I don't believe this since I've watched this one grow and have read about numerous others, all taking 9-11 weeks. So I switched at day 24 anyway, unfortunately the hps is not a super or whatever. Well, thanks to anyone who actually read this long ass post, I appreciate any input,advice and or even criticism. Attached should be pics of the setup and of my babies from seed to today, sorry it's all it once. Thank again.
