Hi All,

I'm having a first go at growing for pain medication and i'm only starting with 2 plants as I haven't got any set up and didn't want to waste too much.

Without CFL lights and proper nutes, they look a bit sick and leggy. I'll prolly only get a few tokes out of each plant. I'm worried that one might have grown balls. I can see white pistils, but they seem to be growing out of what look like kahunas...can someone sex them for me? I'm such a noob

I've added some pics, but i'm very new to this and I want to learn, so please don't rip me apart too much.

One of the pics shows yellow crispy fan leaves and it is starting to climb up to other leaves, so I have read that this may be a nutrient deficiancy, so I have repotted into John Innes Mature plant compost as it has a higher nute content. I have also root flooded and leaf sprayed soluble miracle gro plant food...it's all I have got right now. The yellow leaved plant is Auto Maria 2.

The other one that looks more squat and healthy with the most flowering so far is Himalayan Blue Diesel (bargain at only £1.95 per seed).

Can anyone tell me if I have just ruined what I have by doing this?
Any help appreciated.

I'd lay off the mirricle grow mate if you've just repotted into fresh nutrient rich soil, just run with plain ph'd water for a week or 2.

Those are females for sure. I understand you're trying to do this on the cheap so I assume you don't have a good pH meter. The yellowing on your leaves could be caused by several things but the most likely is your soil pH being off. At the very least you'll need a aquarium type pH test kit, about $20, or a good liquid tester, like a Hanna Combo, for about $120. Then when you water/feed your plants you can then make sure the pH is set to the proper level, then you can capture some of the water than runs out the bottom of the pots, and test it's pH as well. Once we know your pH isn't causing the problems, then we can address the other things that might be causing it.

Also, MG isn't the best to feed your plants. I would invest in some good nutrients specifically designed for growing weed.

Its a lady dude and i agree with muddy check your ph :peace: Si

Thanks dudes. I'll order a PH test kit right away. The new John Innes #3 soil said it was approx. 6.5 PH, bit I admit that the drying leaves started when I first potted them in your average 'multi-compost'.

MG is all I had in the shed. I couldn't get out to get some real nutes 'cos I had the bowels blowing like a steam boat for the last few weeks.

The HBD is perking up since I repotted, bit the dry, leggy Auto Maria2 has really low flowering. I might scrap it and go with another 2 HBD. Got the beans ready :)

Anyone heard of Mig29? I sprouted one at the same time and it's not even flowering yet.
